Hi All:
I am running DB2 UDB V7.2 with FP11. Platform is Windows 2000. I
have created a java UDF and trigger. When I update my database I get
the following error:
SQL1224N A database agent could not be started to service a request,
or was
terminated as a result of a database system shutdown or a force
command.

I created an extremely simple windows service that only writes to the
EventLogs on Stop and Pause. I installed it using the InstallUtil.exe
program, the output of which is below. It appears to be successful. I'm
now ready to start my service (I think) but the NET START command does not
appear to indicate that the service is available to be run. The output for

On my dev machine (XP/Pro with VS.NET 2003) I have been developing a Windows
Service and installing it on the local machine by opening the Visual Studio
Command Prompt and then executing .
Now I want to test this service on a Windows Server 2003 box that doesn't
have the Visual Studio Command prompt.
How do I go about installing the service on the Windows Server 2003 box?

Hi all,
A Windows service (which obviously starts before any user logs in) is
failing to:
- read something from registry from a key under the HKCU
- try to find out the user path by doing the following call:
SHGetFolderPath(NULL, CSIDL_APPDATA, NULL, SHGFP_TYPE_CURRENT, path)
if any of these is tried before a user logs in.

Our three tier web application is "pausing" under test loading (IIS 6.0
(win2003) -> Web services (win2003) -> SQL server) . The CPU usage on
the W3WP.exe on both the web server and middle tier drops to zero for
about 5 seconds then springs back into life. Nothing in the NT event
logs. No SQL database blocking.
I suspect it is a particular web service call. With SQL server I can

I have been developing Web Services in VS2005. Usually I use the built in
server in VS2005 to test and develop the Web Service.
However I now want to make this Web Service available to other computers
(and applications) in our local company network.

Hi,
I want to load test a web application. The tool I am looking for must
support variable parameters (e.g. imported from a database), Http
authentification and content checking (must also be able to check
results of ajax calls). Ideally the test should be designable with C#.
I tried www.badboy.com.au, and it is not bad, but I could not get
sufficient load tests (my machine hangs with more than 2 threads and
the reports are too thin).
