Recommended Load Test software for VS?

DC
Hi,

I want to load test a web application. The tool I am looking for must
support variable parameters (e.g. imported from a database), Http
authentificatio n and content checking (must also be able to check
results of ajax calls). Ideally the test should be designable with C#.

I tried www.badboy.com.au, and it is not bad, but I could not get
sufficient load tests (my machine hangs with more than 2 threads and
the reports are too thin).

I like "Applicatio n Center Tests" that came with VS 2003, but it lacks
some of the features of the newer tools.

In VS 2005 there is a load test tool but I am unable to test it
because it comes with the "... for Testers" version only, and I have
the "... for Developers" Version. I knew it was only about making more
money when M$ started talking about the several roles in development.
THAT SUCKS! Can I hack it somehow just to try the web tests in VS?

Maybe someone else knows a good tool that does what I want at a
reasonable price.

Regards
DC

A web application of mine developed using C# + MS SQL runs fine normally. However when I stress test it with a load testing software (using about 60 simultaneous users) some instances start erroring out. I see two different errors. One is a "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." error, which appears to always contain the same information, and the other is a "There is no row at position X.", where X is a number. Is this...

Hi I am facing the following problem. I load a fact table with around 25 millons lines, and 7 indexes. I load it with 3 million line subsets. I am on a quadriprocessor Solaris machine. The loading phase seems quite efficient and seems to be well parallelized. But the build phase is long and seems to use only one processor. Very low IO wait occurs during this phase. Is there something can I do to fasten this process? I guess that if the 4...

Scenario (Hardware) ---------------------- I've got an engineering source server with Win 2k on it. We use it for all the source files for our projects etc... Let's call it "Engineering" for this scenario's sake. Next, I have a test machine, again running Win 2k, we'll call it "Test", that we use to drop all our compiled applications onto for testing before release to our clients.

The following code works when I debug and when I install the software and run the .exe, but if I try to open the form in the designer (which causes this code to run), I get an error: Private Sub LoadTestSettings() Dim rootPath As String Dim eventHandler As ValidationEventHandler rootPath = My.Application.Info.DirectoryPath eventHandler = New ValidationEventHandler(AddressOf XmlValidationEventHandler)

Hi all, Can anyone recommend a good HTTP load testing tool which can: 1. Simulate user interaction with a web site 2. Handle ASP.NET forms authentication login 3. Make random web service calls (and hopefully is compatible with WSE)? Any good testing tools I should look at?

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
