Hi,
We are trying to use the Hash Tables for passing information from one aspx
page to another aspx page. We are using the below code.
IsolatedStorageFile isoStore = IsolatedStorageFile.GetStore(
IsolatedStorageScope.User
| IsolatedStorageScope.Assembly |IsolatedStorageScope.Domain , null, null
);

I intermittently get a runtime Compilation Error that says 'The
compiler failed with error code 2000'. It appears that a DLL cannot
be found in the 'temporary asp.net files' directory.
The Detailed Compiler Output is at the bottom of this post.
This is a custom dll named UtilitiesINGR.dll that I put in the GAC. I
added a machine.config entry to instruct my app to use the GAC entry.
Now I need to remove the dll from the GAC so I can...

Hi,
I just wrote a test Windows Service that creates a text file on startup
(please see my code below). The file is never created.
Protected Overrides Sub OnStart(ByVal args() As String)
Dim swLog As StreamWriter = File.CreateText("C:\myLog.txt")
swLog.WriteLine("My Windows Service has just started.")
swLog.Close() : swLog.Flush()
End Sub

Hi,
I built an assembly with a set of user controls.
This can be done with the Visual Studio 2005 Deployment Project:
building and merging for example all your aspx and ascx in one dll
(lets say BunchOfUserControls.dll)
Doing so it's possible to resuse user controls in other web projects
without transferring the ascx files. Just the dll.
The reason I need this is because I need to load dynamicly controls in
a website.

Hi,
I'm getting some very strange problems with some C# code. We're running
an ASP.NET application on a local server in a DMZ. If I access it using
the internal address, the application works fine, every time. But, if I
access on it's public IP, from my office workstation, from home, over
the VPN, a test machine on ADSL, or whatever else you please, it fails.
But only about 60% of the time.
I have tried everything to pin this down....

Hi,
I Have created an external assembly to generate a GUID. The class is
static.
I am trying to access it in the Message Assignment shape in the
orchestration. It seems that I can access the assembly at design time.
Since I can see the method when I add a dot next to the class. But
after I have deployed my orchestation, it throws up an event log error
as shown below:

I am using C# to work with a 3rd party DLL (Nevron Charts), and attempting to serialise it. The serialisation itself is handled somewhere inside the DLL, so to get it to happen you call the Nevron's serialiser and then SaveToStream() which will serialises the chart object into a stream for you, which is all well and good...
Now for the problem: If I create a standalone application and use the serialiser to serialise charts it all works fine....

I inadvertently set the language property to zu-ZA (Zulu) on a form that resides in a library assembly. I immediately set it back to (Default), but now whenever I build anything that uses this assembly a zu-ZA culture assembly is added.
I have looked everywhere for any reference to zu-ZA in all of my source code and I cannot find what is telling VS2005 to build this assembly. I did find it listed in the vbproj.filelist.txt file, but cannot...

Ok so I am making plugins for my application and I have the plugins located in a subdirectory:
/AppDir
/AppDir/Plugins
All my plugins reference a Plugins interface file, which is also located in the Plugins subdirectory. I used AppDomainSetup.PrivateBinPath property to have it probe the subdirectory, but when I try to load it into my AppDomain it throws an error:
Could not load file or assembly 'EmptyPlugin, Version=1.0.0.0,...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
