I have a master page where I want to define a header (centered at top
of browser window), content, and footer (centered at bottom of browser
window). Then I can apply this master page layout to all of my other
pages. Can anyone direct me to some resources to implement this type
of web page? Can I do it with CSS? If so, how? Anyone have any
examples?

How do you do a css 2 column layout with header and footer, with the 2nd
column
auto-stretching so entire page looks good for 800 x 600 resolution as min.
and 1024 x 768 resolution as a max?
Ideally the layout would be centered so it scales better visually.
This would be great for me.
Thanks,

does anyone know why i can't generate images with:
header("Content-type:image/jpeg");
imagejpeg($img_number);
i've tried different examples but i always get a text output as if the
header doesn't make a difference at all.
<?php
//random_number.php
$img_number = imagecreate(100,50);

Hi all,
I am sure something like this has been covered somewhere so I am hoping
a quick answer or pointer may suffice, however a couple of days
trawling and I can't find anything on it.
I'm building a layout and for reasons of PDA and text based browsers I
want to have my primary navigation at the bottom of the HTML layout.
Thus the main content and supplementar content are positioned higher in
the document structure then the links go...

Thinking of creating a website, most of the pages will have a general
toolbar
menu, a content and a footer.
The content will be the only one who's gonna change but the rest
(header,footer)
will remain the same.
I am interested to know your opinions/suggestions in finding an easy
way of doing it.
In asp one could have something like this:

Hi,
I'm trying to produce a div layout containing a header on the top with fixed height, a footer on the
bottom using fixed height and a content layer using what's left of the browsers window.
So my header div is defined at top:0; height:40px , my footer is defined as bottom:0; height:40px
and the content is defined as top:40px;bottom:40px;
This works very well with firefox but doesn't work with IE, as IE ignores the bottom statement...

I'm trying to get my header to have 2 images, one for the top left and
one for the top right. Here's a link to my page...
http://levelwave.com/dev/div/index.html
and will eventually be images but what I'm
wanting is for the to be aligned left and to
be aligned right. As of now they're both squished to the left and I'm
not sure how to change my CSS to do this.

L.S.,
I'm trying to make a layout which is completely fixed in width and
height if needed by using three divs rows (header, content, footer)
which have each 3 div again to be able to play around better with the
webdesign.
The problem is that I need the content div row to nudge up
automatically to the header div row, independantly of the header
height. The same goes for the footer/content div row.

Looked almost ok in my editor but not so good in fire fox. I was going for a layout that was elastic some what. A header with one image repeating 100%, an there image slightly to the left also in the header, a container a 20% wide box for a list, two 80% wide boxes for content, a footer with the same image set up to end it. It was looking almost there for white but the footer image could now
be viewed.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
