Getting Started with Silverlight

I've downloaded Blend and installed Silverlight as I saw the sample
(http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library//bb404300.aspx) on the msdn
homepage.

What am I missing here? When I open a new project I do not get the
Silverlight scripting project offered to me. I am on an XP Pro SP2 with .NET
3.0 (in fact 1.1, 2.0 and 3.0) with VS.NET 2005.

Obviously without this project template I cannot create the sample project
to see how this stuff works.

Please help!

Unfortunatelly there is no project template available for VS2005 as there
was in previous releases.
There is one available for Visual Studio Codename Orcas if i'm not mistaken.
What I do, in order to overcome this problem, is start a new project from
Blend (which has the proper templates) and then open the project created
from Visual Studio.

I have Blend installed and was running that to try the sample in the page
from MSDN however the project type (Silverlight 1.0 Script Application) is
not available - from Blend.

Does anyone know how to utilize a C# class within a silverlight project? I was trying to add a reference to my non-silverlight Class Library and the VS 2008 IDE told me "You can only add project references to other Silverlight projects in the solution".

Dear all have a msdn subsciption and was wondering if I can post a Silverlight question here. I was wondering if Silverlight gives webcam support like flash does this. With this, it is possible to make conferencing solutions. As far as I read in ohter posts Silverlight 2 is not able to do this unless you use a McGyver style (http://jonas.follesoe.no/PermaLink,guid,7f8857dc-5f37-4a8a-bd35-fd4b624af45b.aspx).

I have a web site under .NET 2.0 that renders videos using the Silverlight media player. The <asp:MediaPlayercontrol only works on .NET 3.5, but I managed to get things working under .NET 2.0 by working with the javascript rather than the server control. The web page looks like this: <%@ Page Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeBehind="video5.aspx.cs" Inherits="GalleryServerPro.Web.video5" %>

Note: My apologies for repeating this post from last week, but my nospam alias and profile account were incorrect. I think I have fixed this, so hopefully this post will trigger MS into a response per their MSDN policy. -------------------- I have a web site under .NET 2.0 that renders videos using the Silverlight media player. Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
