Add user to roll when registering

I have created a web site and defined 3 rolls: Admin, Manager,
Employee
I would like to add all users to the Employee roll automatically when
they register.
Anybody have a suggestion or material I could read that explains how
to do this?
Most everything I read you add the user manually after they register.

I am using the standard login controls with asp 2.0

Thanks
Marty

How are the roles defined? In the IIS management pages, in a database, in
some other medium?

You may want to look at using custom a custom class derived from
RoleProvider.

Someplace to start anyway.....

Thanks for the reply Arthur,
I defined the roles using the web administration tool in VS2005.
It is connecting to a SQL 2005 Server on a web host.
Maybe I'll have to look at using the createduser method from the
createuser control or something. I was just wondering if there was a
way to do this already defined.

This may be the wrong newsgroup for this question. I'm trying to develop a container control inherited from a panel that I can 'Roll Up' and 'Roll down' on a button click. The component is to be available from the toolbox. The first time I dragged the control from the toolbox onto a form and added other toolbox components to it in design mode, it obviously wasn't a container, the other components were not associated with my control. I...

Hi, Is it possible to access the Session of an arbitary user from an aspx page? On an e-commerce site, I am notified of payment success via a callback from the payment server to an ASPX page on my system. I would like to be able to access the session of the user that submitted the order, and clear their basket. I don't really want to store their session in the database just to facilitate this.

Hello All, I have been working on this assignment to do the following: 1. Modify the prototype so that once all fields are verified, cookie is added to the user's computer. 2. Block the same user from registering and direct them to a separate HTML page advising them that they already submitted the form. This is what I wrote so far, but cannot seem to get it to work....do I incorporate this into my existing html forms page of where?...

DB2 LUW v8.2 FP 14 RHAS 2.1 I have a DB2 online DB backup that was done w/ the INCLUDE LOGS option. I have a Server.Transfer in my asp:Login LoggedIn event handler. I am forcing transfer to a specific page since I do not want to use the ReturnURL that is in Request.Params (i.e., the user addressed some particular page and was redirected to the login form and would be returned there.). The control's DestinationUrl is only used if the login page was the original target of the request. In the event handler,...
