DataList ImageUrl Syntax

I am using Visual Studio 2005.

I have the following code in my DataList:

<asp:Image ID="Image1" runat="server" ImageUrl='<%#
DataBinder.Eval (Container.Data Item, "PIN") %' />

This brings up the following graphic: http://localhost/PhysicianDirectory/017871

How can I write the ImageURL so that the result would be:
http://localhost/PhysicianDirectory/images/017871.jpg

Have you tried something like:

<asp:Image ID="Image1" runat="server" ImageUrl='<%#
DataBinder.Eval (Container.Data Item, "PIN") %>.jpg' />

If that doesn't work, you can actually make it into a method:
<asp:Image ID="Image1" runat="server" ImageUrl='<%# AddSuffix(
DataBinder.Eval (Container.Data Item, "PIN") ) %' />

protected string AddSuffix(objec t urlPart)
{
return (string)urlPart +".jpg";
}

I have a DataList control that has an Image control in the ItemTemplate. I would like to resize the image that goes into that control. I have a series of jpg files that are full size, full resolution (ie. large). I have a database that contains references to the pictures. Currently I have to resize the jpgs manually, and then point the ImageUrl property at that jpg using databinding. This works fine. I would like to avoid the resizing step...

I need to get to a status label I have on my footer section of my datalist. There is no event happening that would go to the footer. I am just doing some processing and want to update the label on the footer. At the moment, I go through the dataListItems like so: for each oItem as DataListItem in DataList1.Items trace.warn("inside for loop oItem type = " & oItem.itemType.ToString())

Hello, I have created a photo gallery of thumbnails using the code below. So far, I got the pictures to show, but now I need to figure out how a viewer can click on the thumbnail and it opens the bigger picture. The bigger file is the same name as the file stored in the array minus the "_mini". So in the datalist, I would need to somehow wrap the image inside of the anchor. Any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance ...

I have a page with two Datalists containing X number of ImageButtons. When the user clicks on an image in Datalist1 I need to copy the image to "Obverseimg" when the user clicks an image in Datalist2 I need to copy this image to "Reverseimg". This all works fine when it uses "Runat Server". How can I do this without going back to the server? It gets much to slow refreshing all the images for every click. What Javascript can I use? Note...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
