Hi all,
I'm wondering how the apache server and php interepreter handles
request.
If one request comes to apache server what is next procedure?
if apache server passes the request to php interepreter and php
interepreter handles?
what if 10 requests comes at same time? apache server forks 10 php
interepreter?
or php interepreter makes 10 threads for each request?

Hi everybody,
i'm experiencing crashing of the apache process when a mod_python handler
access the properties "boundary" and "allowed_xmethods" of the request
argument. This prevents the use of some interactive remote debuggers (such
ActiveState's) that try to read the contents of the variables in the
namespace and graphically present them in tree form.
I reported the crash on win32 platform. I am using python 2.3.4, apache
2.0.47,...

This was written for the gnu.g++.help list. It rather clearly spells out the
most important feature of Java that I believe C++ lacks. I really don't
believe the C++ Standard sepcifies enough for a generic mechanism to
accomplish the comperable tasks demonstrated for Java below. I've already
proposed on comp.std.c++ that the next version of the standard specify a
similar functionality for a C++ implementation.
I know it can be unpopular...

I'm trying to handle the scenario where a user's session times out and
and their ajax request triggers a redirection by the webserver (302
error?).
I'm using Prototype 1.4 and the my works great with Firefox, but with
IE6 the onFailure never gets called and the request never completes.
My code:
var ajaxReq = new Ajax.Request( url, {method: 'post', parameters:

Hello,
note: This is for a Faculty web site that is undergoing a migration to
an open source solution so my motives are legit.
I need to build a relay from IIS handling URL_A to a PHP server
(URL_B), get the content from the PHP server (if it exists) and then
serve it out via IIS. If the content does not exist then I need to
pass the request through to the IIS server and serve the pages from
there. All of this needs to be done...

Hi All,
We've been using Request.IsSecureConnection for some time to drop in
and out of SSL for various sections of our web application. We have
recently change server architecture though as we now accept all
requests to our FreeBSD Apache cluster which then proxies the requests
to the Windows Server.
As the proxy request is done over plaintext HTTP the
Request.IsSecureConnection no longer works correctly.

I'm converting a web app from CGI to FCGI. The application works fine
under FCGI, but it's being reloaded for every request, which makes FCGI
kind of pointless. I wrote a little FCGI app which prints when the program is
loaded and when it gets a request. And indeed, the program gets reloaded for
each HTTP request. Something is probably misconfigured. But what?
I'm using Apache with "mod_fcgid", configured via Plesk. Plesk

My site uses lots of AJAX requests to PHP files which then retrieves
data from MySQL. About 95% of the time the requests complete without
issues. Every once in a while a request will hang for exactly 5
minutes then fail. It seems to be occuring on the client side. I
can't re-create the issue. It just happens randomly. I think it
eventally reaches the server (Apache) because I can see errors in the
server log that certain POST/GET...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
