Hi
I need to Replace the current entry in the History list with a new randomly
genrated URL BEFORE following the link being clicked. I want to use the
onclick property, replace the current History entry witha new one, then
follow the link being clicked which generates a new history entry.
Then when a user clicks the back button they will go to the randomly
generated page.

Hi people, Does anyone have some idea how to get the password of an active
directory user?
I tried using the DirectorySearcher object to find the user and the
DirectoryEntry.Password property to get the value, but always returns "null"
and I'm totally sure that the password is not null
thanks

Hi. I have some code that updates a user's account properties in Active
Directory. The code also has a call that resets the account password (see
code below). I put the code in a .dll and have a test vb.net app that calls
it. It works fine from there. When I try to call the .dll from an asp.net
app, the update works but I get the error 'Access is Denied' when I try to
reset the password. Anyone have any ideas?
Maybe you need to be...

The following C# web service works fine until you uncomment the lines
setting UserName and Password. Then, Process.Start throws an
Access is Denied Exception. This is with .NET 2.0, of
course (1.1 does not support running a process as a different user).
I'm running everything on Windows Server 2003. I have impersonation
enabled
in my web.config, and I'm using Integrated authentication on the IIS
virtual
directory that this aspx is in....

Hello,
I have been scanning the internet for a few days now. That is not working. So now it is time to post!
I have read a few other posts on here about authentication but they do not match exactly.
We currently have an intranet app built in a mixture of asp and asp.net 1.1 and 2.0 written in VB .Net. We have a form where the user logs in and it authenticates against active directory successully in 2 ways:
1. The admin resets the...

When using embedded SQL for db2 under solaris, you do not need to give
username and password since the system will use your unix-login as
default credential. However, with JDBC seems I always need to provide
username and password, the Java API
DriverManger.getConnection(String url) does not work. I am not sure
if this is because the JDBC driver, or because it does not work for
DB2 under solaris. Any comments? Thanks a lot!

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
