Reference page object from class library

I have a class library which sits in a dll and adds controls to a aspx page
which calls it. I have been passing it the page object. Is there any way I
can reference the page from within the class with out passing it the page
object. Its an extra line of code I could do without.

To use the Textstream object, I had to set a Reference to the Microsoft Scripting Runtime. This works good with A2000 Is the Scripting Runtime included with A2002 and A2003 so the Reference won't be broken when my app is opened with those versions. Also is the Scripting Runtime included as part of the A2000 Runtime Engine which some of my customers use.

I am working with Sharepoint Services and am trying to add the fileversion Metadata to the Versions.aspx page using the example from the SDK. I have not done much with hashtables but it all looks straightforward in the SDK. The code segment added is below. The commented out lines (<!-- )are for testing and work correctly. i.e. I can create a NEW hashtable, add items to it, and display them on the Versions.aspx page. When I try to...

Hello, Why would a web user control and master page not have access to a shared method in a library, when all regular pages do? For example, i have a library which has public class AAA. Public class AAA has a shared method ReturnString() which the asp.net pages can use fine, but the master page and web user controls cannot. VS2005's source view shows that the master page and web user controls have

Hi, I have the following problem with VS 2005 (Professional) and C# 2.0 I will use assembly and namespace synonymously here. I have a class in namespace InheritClass inherit from a baseclass in namespace BaseClass. Then I have a class in namespace InheritClassUser that uses the class in namespace InheritClass. The references/using are from InheritClass to BaseClass and from

Hello, So I've got a list of functions written in ASP Classic which I include into every page within my application(s). This file is getting quite big and in most scenarios needs to be called 4-5 times for each page load because of the way I structure my pages (sitehead.asp,sitefoot.asp,sidemain.asp, etc). Thus, i'm trying to compile them as a COM/DLL object and simply create an instance of the object in the global.asa and reference the...

I write my large project in C++ source code. My C++ source code contains approximate four thousand small functions. Most of them are inline. I define variables and functions in the global scope. The global variables and global functions are hidden to prevent from accessing by the programmers. All global functions share global variables. Only very few global functions are allowed to be reusability for the programmers to use. Few...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
