I have created a setup project and was able to include the exe as well
as the source code in the install. However, I have been unable to
include the setup project source. Therefore, when I access the
solution after the install, I get an error message stating the setup
project is missing. In the 'Add Project Output Group' dialogue, all my
projects are listed EXCEPT the setup project.
Any ideas?

Hi,
I have a windows application, wherein the solution consists of 5 projects.
When I try to create a setup and deployment project for this solution, I'm
somehow unable to add anything in project output group. I tried creating with
a setup wizard, but it just doesn't give me an option to add projects,
although I was able to add files into the setup. Moreover, creating a normal
setup project also did not help.
I tried to add a new...

When I build my setup project, I get three files: setup.exe, setup.ini. and
myapplication.msi.
These go into a folder called (setup project)/bin/Release. If any other
files are in that folder, they get deleted.
What I'd *like* is that when I build the setup project, the files that it
creates should go into a directory that I specify, and not delete any other
files that are already in it. That way I can maintain an image of my...

I have a C++ COM Addin I wrote for Outlook (2002) using VS.Net 2002. Having
completed it, I am now looking to create a setup project and install it on
another machine.
I created a setup project and added it to my solution (selecting the
"Primary Output" as the files to include from my project). However, when I
attempt to build the setup project (assuming a clean output directory), I
get "Unrecoverable build error" - and NO other...

When I build a setup project, the dependency in the setup project is tied to
the version in which it was built.
Is there a way to build a setup project that can be used in both versions of
the Framework?
There is provision to build the app's .exe so that the .exe can be used in
either version of the framework, is there not a way to do this for the setup
project? I looked at the options, did not find any. Did I miss something?

I created a setup project in VS.NET 2k5 and added an additional dialog to ask
the user where they would like to place icons for my application. The options
are Desktop and QuickLaunch Menu.
When the user unchecks one of these, or checks one of these, the value is
completely disregarded by my setup project when installation commences. I
have found other users complaining of the same thing, and I have followed the
instructions given at:...

I have created a setup project for a forms application that I will be
deploying in the near future. I have added the primary output to the setup
project and all dependencies have been correctly identified and included in
the setup. Initial deployment on a workstation works fine all files being
deployed to the correct location (C:\Program Files\Company Name\Application
Name\).
The problem I am seeing occurs when I attempt to deploy an...

In VS2005 I have a working setup project that installs several CABs with the main app. I also need to have a setup project that only installs the app itself. I created a new setup project and added the build output of the deployment CAB, and the primary output from my custominstaller dll class. So the only difference between the first, working setup project and the new app-only project is that I didn't inlcude the additional CABs and INIs in the...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
