trigger form onsubmit event if focus on dropdown

For a <form method="get"con taining an <input type="text", a <select,
and an <input type="submit".. .....

I find that the form's onsubmit event is triggered by pressing enter if the
focus is on the textbox , but not if the focus is on the dropdown.

Does anyone know why this is and how to fire the onsubmit event on pressing
enter if the dropdown has the focus ?

Can someone let me know why my phone validation doesn't work within my validate function. It works alone, but not within this function like the other validations do. Phone is not required, but if the user enters a phone number it must be in the form of 555-555-5555. Also, my submit confirmation dialog box comes up first and continuously. I want it to appear last and once before final valid submission.

This message is cross posted in alt.comp.lang.php & comp.lang.javascript I have a form for a user to input an establishment's hours and what time an event is taking place. After the user inputs their establishment's hours of operation I want the form elements lower in the form to adjust so that an event can only happen when the place is open. I have two fields for the hours: These are both select fields with values between 0-23

I'm wondering if there's a way to use javascript to disable a ASP.NET web page before it starts to postback. Specifically, here's what I'm running into. I've got a webform that has an autopostback dropdown box, and a couple of textboxes just below it. When the user selects an option from the dropdown, it triggers a postback event, which in-turn slightly adjusts the remainder of the page. The problem is that if the user is on a slow...

I'm trying to set up a simple "change your password" form. I've got an AJAX process that is checking the new password the user enters against their current password to make sure they're changing it. This function is firing via the password field's onBlur event handler. I want to do some other form validation using the form's onSubmit handler (onSubmit="return validateForm();", and if all those conditions are met, the form submits. ...

I'm new to PHP/Javascript. I have a simple form I want to validate the fields with javascript and then run the PHP script. All the scripts are in one page. I want PHP to control where the next page is. It works fine without the javascript but when I add the javascript the page doesn't do anything besides the validation. Thanks for your help... Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
