Hi all
Can anyone tell me the best way to set permissions to allow an ASP
program to write new Html pages to my site's root folder, without
chancing users also being able to write to the root. One ISP told me
this couldn't be done - is IIS really that limited?
I want to be able to suggest to my ISP (based on any advice you can
give) how they should set the permissions to allow a sensible folder
structure -

Hi all,
I'm about to embark on a new project and can't decide quite how to do it.
In summary, I have a database whose data I want to use to create html pages
for a website. The website will just be a series of static html pages. I
will keep all the data locally and would generate the required pages and
upload them whenever I needed to. I do not want to have the database
anywhere but on my lcoal machine.

Hi,
Can we secure HTML pages on a web site using asp.net?
We have a requirement in which we want to display a login page before a
visitor can view any HTML page on our website.
WE have tried implementing HTML pages in a direcotry and seucring that
directory but still, if the visitor accesses the HTML page directly, using
URL, he can access this page.

I've built a website using CSS, and am relatively new to the art.
The lady I'm making it for noticed that a long page of text doesn't print properly (why print web pages?????) and I figured it had something to do with CSS as I'm new to it.

Looking at the print preview it only shows 2 and a bit pages when there should be 3 or 4

Hi,
The problem with using HTML as a report writer is primarily the
unreliable page breaking.
However it is a rather handy way of writing reports with images
embedded.
I could generate say 10 HTML pages of a maximum length to fit a page -
page1.htm, page2.htm, page3.htm ...etc.
