TableAdapter class missing some dataadapter like events

I am using the dataset wizard in VS 2005. I am not finding events which are
similar to events available in the regular xxDataAdapters like the
RowUpdated event in the TableAdapter class. Do I need to code these?

We have been noticing that questions on vs.2005/2.0 don't appear to get much in answers so I'm reposting some questions posted by some of the programmers here in our organization that never got answered... There are articles on the new TableAdapters where it says that a key new advantage is that a single TableAdapter, which can have multiple queries, can be used on multiple forms. Now that was in an article on using TableAdapters with...

Hi all. I am developing some web application in which I use datasets, which were generated using dataSetDesigner. My dataset has a TableAdapter, which has GetData method. Users of my application sometimes get timeout while executing this GetData method. I would like to increase CommandTimeout for this GetData method, but I cannot find this property. How can I do that?

I have a question / concern regarding the new suggested way of creating a data access layer in an n-tier application. Typically, a web application specifically, using the SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) approach. At various sites such as 15 Seconds (http://www.15seconds.com/issue/050721.htm) they advocate using the TableAdapter wizard to generate the data access layer. Describing the TableAdapter wizard, here is a quote from the...

I'm not really sure how to ask this question because I'm still getting my feet wet with data access and VB.NET, but here goes: To start off with, I'm using VB 2005 Express to connect to an Access database. I have a dataset in which a parameterized query returns the correct result set in the forms of a tableadapter and a bindingnavigator. In other words, I can perform my query and see that the tableadapter and bindingnavigator contain...

I think that this is a really simple question. I have a table adapter set up with the various sql queries. I'd like to allow the user to make changes to a given row on a form. Each of the changes is made using textboxes (not a data grid). Once done, they click a Save button, which should call the insert query on the tableadapter. I can't seem to figure out how to call this. I could do it using a data adapter, but there are many...

XP & VB 2005 using the help files - followed instructions to use the table adapter to delete a row from the database. I step thru the table find the rows to delete and issue a .Delete() and after having done that for all the rows I want to delete issue an AcceptChanges(). I get NO errors but the database is unchanged. Google has several suggestions that seem very complex. VB 2005 is supposed to be simple and direct - Not? Help?...

I created a TableAdapter (TA) in my VB 2005 project. I tested it to ensure that its CRUD functionality is what I expected it to be. I'm using the TA and its strongly-typed DataTable (DT) in my Wizard. Initially, I populate the DT using the TA.GetData. I pass the DT to a ASCX-styled control that 'pivots' (turns years into columns) the data into a new DataTable (DT2), then binds it (DT2) to a GridView form. I save the original DT in...
