atlas release

Hi,
Is it safe to start developing for future production apps... using current
atlas frame work (June CTP)?

When is the planned production release?
(I cannot find a link on the web)

Thanks
Nalaka

Hello Nalaka,

As for the Atlas development framework, its overall architecture and
functionality should have been fixed though there may still occur some tiny
change until the final release. Curently, if you have plan on developing
new client centric web appliation upon the ATLAS framework, I would suggest
you focus on the architect and designing work instead of coding in depth.
It's better to try creating some proto-type programs first and that'll be
easier to modify during the difference CTP versions(which may vary abit...).

BTW, you can closely monitor the ATLAS home site since any new updates
about it will be published there:

http://atlas.asp.net/

Sincerely,

Steven Cheng

Just trying to get some opinions out there... There are tons of Ajax libraries out there... Ajax.NET Professional, ComfortASP.NET, ZumiPage, etc. etc... Microsoft has their own too, Atlas. I've been looking at these and certainly there needs to be a solution that's integrated with MS.NET, easy to use, and well supported to production environments. That's why I ask -- can there ever possibly be a real (free or paid) competitor to...

I wanted to hear people's opinion who have used Atlas on their project. My project does all niffty ajax stuff, but I found that the js file included with asp:ScriptManager is actually 360k in size! The page takes a long time to load, and the heaviness of atlas script should be one of factors affecting the performance. <atlas:ScriptManager ID="ScriptManager1" runat="server"></atlas:ScriptManager>

Hi. I think I have some conceptual questions here. I have an asp.net web application up and running and now I intend to use Atlas on some of my pages. I have read that after installing Atlas, I need to create a specific Atlas project. But what I need is to just adapt Atlas on existing pages, so my questions are: Can I simply add Atlas controls like UpdatePanel on an existing web application page? If so, do I need to adjust some kind of...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
