Hello,
I am new to the group so please let me know if there is a better place to
post this.
I am trying to use aspnet_compiler to precompile a full web site and put the
result into an MSI setup
This generates a bunch of randomly names assemblies (bd45ft6.dll) for
instance.
Sicne I cannot predict the name of the generated Dlls, I cannot easily build

Our global.asax file has the following line:
<OBJECT ID="sInfo" RUNAT="Server" SCOPE="Session" CLASS="a.b.c.d"></OBJECT>
This is referred to in other places in global.asax and other pages by just
sInfo e.g. sInfo.ToString(). This works when deploying the raw pages but a
compiled site fails. Reflector shows that in the working case, the class
corresponding to global.asax has:
private a.b.c.d sInfo {
get {

I'm using aspnet_compiler to precompile my web app for deployment.
Currently it copies all subfolders from the asp.net projects source folder
to my destination folder. I have some files I do not want it to copy when
deploying this app, is there any way to exclude them? I like to keep all
files related to my projects within that projects folder hierarchy (such as
schemas, documentation, etc), but I don't want them deployed, or to have to...

From what I can tell I am using this tool correctly, but when I look at the
target folder where the pre-compiled outputs are, it is including the .sln
file, the .resx files, and the various source-safe control files.
I obviously don't want to deploy these files so how can I stop it from doing
this?
Specifically, this project is an ASP.Net Web Service application that was
converted from VS2003 to VS2005.

When compiling my web site with Visual Studio everything works fine. But when
bulding on our build server using the aspnet compiler (aspnet_compiler.exe),
I get the message "error ASPPARSE: Could not load type <namespace>.<class>".
I call aspnet_compiler from a nant script:
aspnet_compiler -nologo -v <virtual path-p <physical path-u -f <target
path>
The type that cannot be loaded belongs to a user control located in a sub

If I precompiled my project with aspnet_compiler do I need to have
web.config on a server?
Or all I need is just a BIN directory and aspx files as markers?
George.

Hi;
I am building our asp.net app for release and we want to precompile the
whole thing. A couple of questions.
First off, what is the -v for? It looks like I can call it anything. Does
that mean anything?
Second, once I compile and have created the pre-compiled program - what
files do I sign with my digital ID?

Just checking - there is nothing I need to do to build before running this
correct? All .cs files in App_Code will get built if needed.

Is aspnet_compiler.exe actually the tool used by the ASP.NET runtime to
dynamically compile an ASP.NET 2.0 application? ...Or is the
aspnet_compiler.exe tool just a console application "front-end" for some
lower level functionality and the ASP.NET runtime actually hooks into this
lower level API?
Similarly, is the aspnet_compiler actually what get's called when using the
"Publish Web Site" utiltiy (or again, is the "Publish Web Site"...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
