I am trying to open a frameset in a new window......where the frame
called "main" shows the file called customerGeneral.aspx. I can't get
it to work though...i always get something like frames.main.location
is null....seems like the frameset is not loaded before
wnd.frames.location.replace(URL) is called. If i add an
alert("TEST") between the window open and the frame
replacement....then it works. The alert("TEST") seems to ensure that...

I have multiple functions that dynamically build parts of a page. It
can take 15-30 seconds for this process to complete. In IE nothing
appears until the page is complete. In Netscape parts of the page
appear as built.
Is there any way to display a "Please Wait" message that displays as
soon as the first javascript begins and disappears when the javascripts
have completed? Some scripts are in the header and some in the body. I

Hi,
If I navigate from Page1 to Page2 then to Page3, using the
response.redirect.
When the user press the Back button, I what then to go to Page 1 and start
again, not Page2. I dont want the to navigate to Page2 using the Back and
Forward buttons.

Hi, I am writing a page where user submits a request and waits for the
response. Since the process takes quite some time on the server side, I
would like to show a small animation immediately after user submitting
the request. The animation will be terminated once the response is back
from server.
You can find the same trick on maps.yahoo.com. When you go to that

Hi, I'm building a site where the user enters some info into a form which submits to a php script. The php script takes a long time to execute (anywhere from 10 seconds to a minute) and when it finally finishes the page that it creates appears to get blocked by any firewall (tried on lots of different browsers/platforms) and you just get a completely blank page. (It's fine when just running on my local machine.)

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
