Hey, I have a question about how secure the following will be....
I want to have a login form that posts to itself, so when it loads it checks
if there is a username and password on the query list.
If there is not, it asks for one.
If there is, it checks to see if the information is valid.
If it is not valid, it deletes the attributes and calls itself again.

Hi.
I have some code that dynamically generates a PDF and spits this content
directly to the web browser. I use HTMLDoc to create the Pdf's from html. So
the user can click on a button "Print PDF" and the current page magically
becomes a PDF file. This worked great until we moved the site to https. Now,
when the button is clicked, I get a warning that
This page contains both secure and nonsecure items.
Do you want to display the...

Basically we have a web method with a dynamic URL. The client is developed
in C++ and I've been using the webReference.SetUrl(
"http://test.example.com..." ) method successfully with various web method
URLs.
However, when we switched to using a secure connection, the call to
webReference.SetUrl( "https://test.example.com..." ) no longer functions.
The SetUrl() method is actually successful, but any following calls in to the
web...

Hi,
I'm presently upgrading a v1.1 ASP.NET app to v2. Parts of site run under
SSL and parts don't, and the site uses this code:
http://www.codeproject.com/aspnet/WebPageSecurity.asp
to switch between them - works perfectly.
Setting up which files and/or folders need to run under https is a simple

I'm sending users to a secure page https to fill out a registration form.
When they're done I show a thank you page. I need to return the user to http
mode after filling out the form.
If I use response.redirect I get a security warning when transitioning from
https to http. Is there an accepted way to avoid having the user see this?
Thanks.

Hi,
I am using asp.net and c#
i have an iframe within a page PageA.
the source file for the ifram is page PageB.
I type in some text and press search from PageA, the result will be displayed in the iframe.
The problem is when I search for the same text string a second time, the result come out straightaway without executing the search action, which is because of the cache.
I want to avoid the cache in the page.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
