In IE when autocomplete is working and the user picks the drop down in a Input text box, the password will appear giving the user quick access to the next step. But the cursor should occur to the right of the inserted "*"'s in the pasword box. But for me my cursor is just sitting at the end of the Input box I mentioned. I would like the cursor to sit at the end of the "*"'s in the password box. I tried disabling the Input box and all that...

does anybody know how to turn off the autocomplete feature for a certain
text field?
I am aware of the "autocomplete" attribute, but I have seen other
implementions achieving it without any such attribute and am wondering
whether there is another way to do it .... like via CSS or a naming
convention or .......

We have a web application developed using IBuySpy. In older versions,
Autocomplete on all web forms works. In our latest version, it stopped
working on all clients.
I have gone through all the groups and tried a bunch of things. Two
main areas I keep seeing are,
1. Browser Settings not set correctly.
2. Ability to turn off Autocomplete for a control and a form.

I am using a built-in login control on a form, and have set the
"DisplayRememberMe" property to false.
It correctly does not display that checkbox on the login form; however,
after authenticating, I'm prompted with an Autocomplete Passwords Dialog
box, asking if I want to remember the password. Is there any way to disable
this dialog, and force it to not remember any passwords?
