The problem started when the Working Folder for a project was somehow set to
the folder of another project. I set the correct working folder in VSS and
deleted the .vbproj files that had been created in the wrong folder on the
hard drive. Before I discovered these files, .NET kept trying to create a
new project with _1 following the project name. Deleting those files
corrected that problem.
I deleted the Virtual Directory, rebooted, and...

Hi,
I am trying to create an installer for my web application. So I added a
web setup project to my solution (I am using VS.NET 2003). Been playing
around with it since then and it basically works.
Now, I am wondering if there is any way to change the directory that
the installer installs the files to. I want to be able to put my files
in a specified directory (user specified is good, but i don't mind
hardcoding the path either) and...

I created a ASP.NET web setup project with the project name "Setup". I
noticed that this name will be used as the default Virtual Directory name
during deployment.
I'd like to know whether we can change this default value while preserving
the project name?
Thanks in advance

I have created a web setup project for my ASP.NET
application that works fine. Also, I have followed the
instructions for using a custom action to launch a web
page after the installation is complete. This works great
too, for web pages not associated with my new application.
I would like to launch a web page that is part of the
application that was just installed. The sample in MSDN
shows using the following syntax:

Hello!
I've made a WebService which has the name MyWebService. Now I make a setup
project for it. The name of the setup project is MyWebServiceInstaller. The
default name for the virtual directory created by the setup program is
MyWebServiceInstaller but I would like it to be MyWebService. Is there a way
to have the setup to install MyWebService having the virtual directory
MyWebService instead of MyWebServiceInstaller?

Hi,
I hope this is the right group to post this question.
I've created a web project at work. The project name is Foo.Bar.Web. The
physical folder is located outside Inetput\wwwroot
(c:\projects\Foo.Bar.Web). Following Microsoft guidelines, I've created a
virtual directory with the same name and point it to the folder. I then
open the project from source safe, set the working location URL to
http://localhost/Foo.Bar.Web and...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
