ASP.NET pages hosting WindowsForms control interactivity

SO, I have a WindowsForms based Usercontrol being hosted in a ASP.NET page
using the <object> tag method.
What I am trying to do now is have that control access the Session object of
the ASP.NET page.
If possible I would like to be able to do this without having to use the
<param> tags to pass data into the usercontrol.

Is this possible?

Thank You,
Paul

Your issue here is that your Windows Forms control isn't in the ASP.NET
server-side context, its actually being hosted in IE similar to an ActiveX
control or JAVA applet.

I've inherited a site that has 1000+ product pages that follow a similar layout. I would like to import these pages into a database for ease of future updating. The pages have the usual banners, navigation menus, etc. and other extraneous code that must be removed. Does software exist to import existing HTML pages into a database - even a rough import would work as I can massage the data later. Ideas/suggestions will be appreciated.

Hi, I need to host an html in my dialog box. This is already done by putting the Microsoft .OCX control on the form, however, I need to know how can I get the "DOM" of the control, so that I can populate it's contents on fly... Any idea? Cheers, Mehdi

I have a website where I run a simple asp.net web application. On Sunday night, requests to this webapplication started to time out. After much debuggeing with no result, I created a new webapplication with one aspx page that displays only a text. I uploaded this page and the dll, but requests to this page also times out. So my problem seems to be: If I request an aspx page, this request times out. The page gives no error mesage, it...

Hello, I have a tab control and I have inserted an image list on it, each page has been assigned an image on the image list. In design view these images are displayed, together with text that I entered, however when I run the images are not shown on the tabs. Do you know if I need to set any special properties in order that they will show when running the program. Thanx in advance

So I have been working on an opensource project for a while, and decided to really try to make it look better after focusing on the functionality most of this time. Up to now, I have simply used a standard ASPX page with minor modifications to it. All of my pages inherit from a "BasePage.cs" class, that handles common things like getting the user's information out of the session, determines if a page should or should not be password...

Hi All, In our Web hosting environment we are using Virtual hosting i.e. multiple websites are on one server and multiple domains are pointing to a single website. Issue: We have two domains say “www.Test1.com” and “www.Test2.com” pointing to a single website. Website content is located onto UNCPath i.e. remote location. Domain 1: www.Test1.com points to \\servername\websitefolder\homedirectory

Hello, I posted a question a while ago on tabbed pages, how to set it to invisible when the text box is empty. It was answered by Rick and the code ran perfectly. However, i tried using the same code for another scenario and it gives me compile error:method or data member not found. My scenario is i have a nested tab page.My main tabbed page has 4 tabs, About, SafetyLevel1,SafetyLevel2,SafetyLevel3. Inside this main, i created a...

Hello All, I am displaying a report in a gridview and also in a separte html table. When the user clicks a print button, I print the report (from gridview or from html table). But I want to repeat the gridview's header and the html table header row in all printed pages. The print for grid and html table is done separately. Can someone tell me how to make the header print in all pages? Thanks

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development projectplanning, coding, testing, and deploymentwithout human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
