You can't. Hyperlink works client-side, which know about things like
windows and targets. Redirect works from the server and knows nothing
about windows and such.

You will have to emit javascript that opens that other window and
redirects that.

Thanks for reply. The following is what I want to do:

I have two frames in a page: frame A and frame B. In frame A, I put a web
control - drop down list. The use will pick up from the drop downlist whose
each item indicates for a new URL. I want to disply the new URL in frame B.
Response.Redire ct doesn't work for this purpose based on your answer.

Any suggestions to this issue?

Luke

You'll have to use client side code to redirect a specific frame to a
specific ASPX page.
I don't like to have to use such client side hacks which is why I stay away
from frames.

I want to redirect the user to a url outside of our website but I want it to preserve our application's window by opening a new window. We have a datagrid that has five hyperlink columns containing links to external sites. The hyperlink columns have the target="_blank" attribute so they preserve the existing window. This works OK except that the NavigateURL's are quite long due to the size of the query string and this makes the page slow. ...

I have a form that, when the submit button is clicked, the user is redirected to another webpage using the "next-url" input. But, the page that the form is in is in frames and the page it's being redirected to is also in frames. So after they hit submit, the new page is loaded within only one frame, we don't want this. I want it to go over top of that whole web page. I am very familiar with "target="_top" but not when the "next-url"...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
