It would be udeful to be able to get the current on-screen values from a
FormView that is databound to an ObjectDataSource by using a callback instead
of a postback. For example:

Hi,
I try to use a droplist control to show a list value from Database table
"A", and the droplist control is an item of a formview control, its data from
Database table "B". My problem is how do I to DataBind the droplist control
in Formview control EditItem mode? It means the droplist will show the
default value from table B and replace the value after editing the formview
by selecting a value from the droplist control.

hello,
i am trying to access controls inside my formview1 nested inside
loginview1. you cannot access the formview1 unless you are properly
logged in.
for loginview1, that seems to be fairly simple. a label control would
be:
Label label1 = (Label)loginview1.FindControl("nameoflabel");
then i get to the data that was bound to that control.

I have 2 update buttons in my FormView ('Apply' and 'OK'). I want both

The issue is that I have two formviews in a multiview.
The second formview's objectdatasource references controls in the first
formview.
If the query to populate the first formview results in no data then the
first formview is not created and the second objectdatasource trying to
reference the first formview throws an exception indicating it cannot find
controls in the first formview.

form fields into different tabs). The display part of the data binding works
fine, but the Update doesn't. Basically the FormView cannot find the

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
