This may be a simple one but I have been working on it without joy for
a couple of days now. Reading books and searching these groups hasn't
helped yet either.
I am trying to create a table dynamically with column headers based on
the value of certain nodes and the rows populated ewith the values of
certain child nodes of the same parent.
My xml is something like this:

Hi,
This question is related with c# and ASP.NET, (I could't find the rigth
forum).
What I need to do is to add a usercontrol in a row of my table using the
server code (I know how to do it on the front-end). The idea is to show the
search results on the page, every entry is a usercontrol (obviously the same
loaded with different data). I have tried this but it does not work, any
ideas? (here is an example)

Hello All,
I am looking for a solution to a problem I am having. I have extended
System.Web.UI.UserControl in a class lets call it MyUserControl for eases of
example. Anyway MyUserControl does some templating stuff and then other
controls inherit MyUserControl and are added to the page. My problem is that
when I change the control that gets added to the page to inherit
MyUserControl instead of just UserControl the designer no longer...

In a blog from Scott Guthrie
(http://weblogs.asp.net/scottgu/archive/2005/08/28/423888.aspx) I found a
sample to build a UserControl Library inside one ASP.NET project and then
deploy it to other projects and reuse it.
He suggests that you "publish" the web site to a directory and include this
directory into your (second) web site. I tried this but VS (and the
aspnet_compiler) complains that my user control now is implemented twice.
When...

Hello All:
Do I have to use the LoadControl method of the Page to load a UserControl?
I have a class which contains three methods (one public and two private).
The class acts as a control server. It "serves" back the required control
(either WebControl or UserControl) based on the contents of an xml file. The
code in the webform places each control in a TableCell.
My problem is that the control server works as far as returning the...

Hi all,
I have a problem regarding use of a usercontrol in .NET.
My usercontrol consists of two listviews which I say as source and
destination lisviews which
contains the files and folders.
I select files from source view and transfer it to the destination
view.The problem arises while
displaying the dialog for overwriting the file or folder if it is
present on the other side.

The ToolBar control allows you to add toolbar buttons. When you add a button,
the button is not only displayed in the toolbar, but also added as a
separator control in the form/usercontrol your toolbar exists in.
I'm writing my own usercontrol which contains various different controls
(e.g. Panel, Button). I would like these controls to be listed in the drop
down just above the Properties grid, when a new instance of the usercontrol
is...

if i wanted to expose a property on a usercontrol that basically would
work like the way the validators work with the ControlToValidate
property, whats a reliable way of finding the correct control off of a
text property?
I was figuring i could expose a string, allow the consumer to set it,
and then use some technique in the usercontrol to get the reference to
the instance of the control, but i'm not having much luck with actually...

Hello all,
I have a very simple html table with collapsible rows and sorting
capabilities. The collapsible row is hidden with css rule
(display:none). When one clicks in the left of the expandable row, the
hidden row is made visible with css. The problem is when i sort the
rows, the hidden rows get sorted as well which i don't want and want
to be moved (while sorting) relative to their parent rows. The
following is my complete html code...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
