Multiple browsers support and themes

Hi,

We are trying to figure out a nice way to support themes both IE and
Firefox. What's the best practise here? We normally have two different
stylesheets that are injected based on the browser type but we can't figure
out how to apply this when working with themes. Are people duplicating the
themes creating one for each browser?

Thanks,
Manso

Hi, I have a form with a select element with multiple="true". When using the GET method (I suppose the same happens with the POST method) I can seen that the form sends channels=CH1&channels=CH2 when CH1 and CH2 have been choosen. $_GET gives me "CH2". Is there any way to get all the choosen channels elements? I would be very appreciative for any help. Thank you in anticipation. Regards

Hi, I'd like to limit the number of selections a user can make in a multiple select listbox. I have a note on the interface to say that only x no. of items should be selected and I check the number server side but I'd like to implement some javascript to do the same on the client side. Ideally I'd like the javascript to work in IE5+ and Netscape6+. Thanks,

Currently, I'm marking up a few pages in German, containing quite some English abbreviations. The abbreviations are marked up as <abbr> with the appropriate title attribute, and -- when appropriate -- I add a "class='initialism'" to tell speach browers to spell it out rather than to read it as one word (Ben Meadowcroft's idea). Simple example: <abbr title="Hypertext Markup Language" class="initialism">HTML</abbr> Now, the point is,...

Hi, We're developing an application that should render well on both IE and Firefox and should be based on Themes. Does anyone have any good tips on how to maintain different CSS-files for different browsers and still use themes? How/where do you select the CSS to use as this is autogenerated? Thanks, Manso

Hi all, I have enough experience with HTML/classic ASP to get by, and I'm trying to learn ASP.NET. Traditionally, I've taken the habit of breaking out extra-long CSS files into multiple, smaller ones, and referring to them in my HTML/ASP files on an as-needed basis. Essentially, I've organized things as: /default.asp

Using 3.5: Suppose I have defined 20+ themes (including multiple graphics, ..skin files, and css files per theme), and I want to make those themes *available* to all the Web sites on my Web server. How can I accomplish this "making them available" without having the themes all automatically applied to each Web site? I understand that I can create "global themes" by placing the theme folders in...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
