When I package my Microsoft Access 2002 application with the Office XP
Developer Packaging Wizard, and include the runtime, the resulting
OSP1.CAB file that is created does not contain the latest msjet40.dll
(SP8), but instead contains SP4. How can I upgrade the packaging
wizard to include the latest component service packs, such as msjet40
and MDAC?

<http://www.quirksmode.org/book/printable/xmlhttp.txtshows two
alternatives to Microsoft.XMLHTTP - Msxml2.XMLHTTP and Msxml3.XMLHTTP.
If my understanding is correct, the different numbers refer to the
version of Microsoft's XML parser and that Microsoft.XMLHTTP refers to
the latest installed version.
This makes me wonder why sites like
<http://developer.apple.com/internet/webcontent/xmlhttpreq.htmlopt to
use Msxml2.XMLHTTP, first, and...

Hi,
until today i always forced users to download/install the
complete package of the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008
Redistributable Package (x86), but mostly my applications
only need the msvcr90.dll to run. So my question here is
if i can pack this file into my installer and redistribute it with
my application. For my case it would be just fine if the
dll would be in the same directory as the app is.

Here's what I came up with (sorry if it doesn't exactly match your
example, but I could only work with the info you provided):
SQLcreate table latest (person_id number not null, date_entry
varchar2(15),
time_entry varchar2(15), code number);
Table created.
SQLinsert into latest values (1, '01/01/2003', '10:00', 1);

Hi,
I have a database in Access that currently holds the status of a salesperson and the comments of the status. The comment is an open-ended field typed in by a user.
For example, if Jonny has the status of "On Leave" then the comment might say "26-11-09: Johnny is currently on medical leave and will return by 01-12-09". The comment is a compiled overtime and stored in a Text box.
However, my problem is that, when i transfer this...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
