onclick postback event has disappeared

Hello!

Except for dropdownlists, all other controls have lost their postback call.
The default postback call runs all the time.

What would be the more likely cause for this?

Thank you for your help!

Hello again!

The problem has to do with nested DIV statements.

If I remove the nested DIV with it positioning parameters, etc., the
javascript postbacks are back.

If I put it back in, the postbacks are gone.

Any clue is very welcome!

The page looks perfectly normal. I cannot see anything being off.

Thank you!

hello again!

I dont' know what I did but all postback javascript events have disappeared
from the buttons.

They have not disappeared from dropdownlists.

What could be possibly going on? The problem seems to be limited to just one
page.

I am using webmatrix. Do I need to force a recompliation?

thank you!

Has anyone ever made a webform button run an onClick event that is a Javascript in the HTML code and then after running the script make it go into the code-behind? An HTML button will run the onClick event but will not return to the code-behind. I need to get back to the code, which the webform button will do but I can't make it execute the script. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

I posted this question in the C# discussion group but am posting it here also since ASP is involved. I'm new to C# and need some help regarding an onClick event not firing. I have a data grid that I add a cell to programatically. The cell is a hyperlink and the onClick is set to _doPostBack. In my code I handle the event but when I click on that added hyperlink nothing happens. Here's my code (I'll just show the relevant stuff).

Before i get flamed, this isn't the usual question you see left right and center. I'm dynamically creating usercontrols inside the page_init event and setting the ID's of each control so that the events survive postback. in the user control i have a datagrid which uses the old databinding events (updating, editing etc,...). Here's the problem, the editing event fires but the updating event doen't. Take a look - This is the...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
