edition....

project in Visual Studio. Now we are trying to deploy this service to
a server that has multiple sites. I have looked everywhere in the
deployement project to see where I can allow the person installing to
choose the root, but I can't find anything.
Is there a way to install in a desired root using the deployment
project? or is Visual Studio installer more of a...

I am getting an error when I compile a web setup project:
Could not find fild 'C:\...\obj\Release\myApp.dll'
In the Config Manager, I have the application set to 'Debug' -- not release.
Thats why there's no dll there in the Release folder. How do I tell my Web
Setup project to look in the debug folder, not the relase folder?

I'm planning to deploy several ASP.NET projects to a production server.
Normally I used the "Project / Copy project" option in VS.NET, but to this
production server I only have FTP access. I tried copying the files with a
FTP tool, but it seems that every application needs to have an own virtual
directory, is this true? Or is it possible to just make 1 virtual directory
and put al the projects...

Hi,
I have created an ASP.NET application (let's call it FooBar) with VS.NET on
my local machine, residing in http://localhost/FooBar. Deploying it to
another folder on my machine works well with FrontPage Server Extensions,
but I don't manage to deploy the application to my web provider http root
folder.
When I run Copy Project, I get an error message just saying 'Unable to
create Web project 'myname'. Not found.'.

Here are the steps that I used to deploy the project:
-right-clicked on my solution project and selected add new project
-I selected "Web Setup project"
- right-clicked on the "Web Application Folder" and added Project
Output..."Primary Output"
-Then, I built the web setup
Then, to get the project to another server:
-I found my Visual Studio .Net project in the filesystem and copied and
pasted it in the other server.

I've used the setup wizard for a project when the user deploys the project I
need to now where the user has put it. (path of the deployment)
An other program has to now where it is.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
