Detect if cookies/javascript are disabled on client browser

Hi,

I want to detect if the clients browser has cookies/javascript disabled. I
know the class 'HttpBrowserCap abilities' but it gives information about the
capabilities of client browser not the current settings on the browser.

Would I have to do it the hard way? (Attach cookiey and detect on another
page?)
Pls help.

I would like to use PHP (or any other server-side technique) to detect if JavaScript was turned on in the user's browser. Is there any known way to do this, and if not, why not! I realise I could serve one page to both, and have the basic function there by default and use DOM to replace it with another, but it would be more efficient and lower overhead to serve different pages to different UAs. Any suggestions welcome. Now if I was...

Hi, I searched around everywhere on the net, but could not find a simple example of detecting if cookies are enabled - on server side, and without moving from one page to another. This should be a very basic functionality, so I am reluctant to believe that there's no way to simply test it in a server-side script. Anyone? Thx, Agoston

Hey all, I have some problems detecting whether the client's browser javascript is enabled at the server side. While Request.Browser.JavaScript only check if the browser enable java script (and so on with Request.Browser.Cookies). I saw some server controls that register a startup script on the page_load and then perform a postback and run the javascript, changing a hidden

I started off by trying to use the HttpCapabilitiesBase.Cookies Property (Note: This property is new in the .NET Framework version 2.0) however it kept on returning true even when I disabled cookies in both FireFox and Internet Explorer. After a bit of googling I found that a lot of people were creating cookies, then re-reading them; obviously if they could re-read the cookie then they knew that the client's browser accepts cookies!...

I was thinking about an easy to determine if cookies are set or not in ASP. I began thinking about how the Session ID is dependent upon a cookie - right? Well, I disabled cookies in Firefox and then loaded a webpage that displayed Session.SessionID. Viola, I got one! And then, I reloaded the page. And then, I noticed that the SessionID incremented by one! This still isn't yet a one-page method of detecting if cookies are enabled or not...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
