Hi all,
I made a question several days before to describe my strange trouble of
mysqldump. But I still can't figour it out. Well, I just want to ask
another question whether I could just backup my databases by copying
the data folder to some place? Then if I meet some disaster, could I
just copy the backup folder back to recover my databases?
Thank you.

I recently learned how to do an <OBJECT> alternative to <IFRAME> in current
browsers using:
<object id="extendedhtml" type="text/html" data="otherpage.html" width="250"
height="400"></object>
My question is how do I access the document DOM of this object in
Javascript? For example, "alert(extendedhtml.innerHTML);" doesn't work and
produces an unknown error. I'd like to both read and write to the document's
body element's innerHTML...

I am developing an Access tool for generating an Application MDB for
data entry in a "large scale" project. At design stage I would like to
keep open these two MDB. One current is generating forms and tables and
copying them to the second using TransferDatabase Method.
However when I put focus on this second the new forms and tables are not
yet there, or they are not processible.
I know that if this second is closed and opend everything...

Hi,
I'm attempting to use a data reader to load data from a single table,
tblCountry, with two columns, countryNo (the Key) and countryName, into
a DropDownList box. Here's the code:
protected System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection conn;
protected System.Data.SqlClient.SqlDataReader drCountry;

version info:
my isp is running my web page on a linux box with php ver. 4.4.1
according to phpinfo, the "mysql api client is ver. 4.0.25" - I have no
idea how this relates, if at all, to the mysql engine's version.

Hi all,
I have a collection of ordered numerical data in a list. The numbers
when plotted on a line chart make a low-high-low-high-high-low (random)
pattern. I need an algorithm to extract the "significant" high and low
points from this data.
Here is some sample data:

I'm converting my table-based layouts to css-positioned divs - but the
ONLY reason I'm doing it is because it's *considered* a best practice.
I don't really see where anything goes hinky when tables are used - but
I'm doing it anyway because the HTML and CSS specs says to reserve
tables for tabular data.
So as I convert my login widgit to a css thing, I'm saying to myself -
hey, this form is most certainly "tabular data" - even if it...

I am using Visual Studio 2008 w/ VB.NET.
For the database, I am using SQL Server 2005, which is running on a
dedicated server box.
I am creating a WinForms application for a client. It is run on any of
several employees' desktop PCs.
Now, they want to be able to "push" some of the data from the SQL
Server database up to a database on a website (also SQL Server 2005).

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
