It seems that Ctrl-N in Mozilla opens a new empty browser window.
That's fine, I don't need to do anything about it.
But Ctrl-N in IE appears to clone the current window. Is there a way
to intercept the key so that I can do stuff on the server side to make
the new window behave correctly?
(We have a JSP-based webapp which stores state in the session. Now if
two windows access (and modify!) the same session, then madness will
result....

Hi all, as you can see from the subject, I'm try to use an asp:button to create a new browser window and output contents to new window
But default if I do the
Response.Write("..."
The output gets sent directly to the window or frame that the button was contained in - if I was using regular anchor links I could just specify the target - i.e.
<a href="http://...." target="nameNotInCurrentFrameset">something</a

i have a server side generated web application that provides parameter forms
and always opens the associated reports in a new browser window. the code
that controls the opening of the new browser window is simply html
target='_blank'. but now there is some business rules that may be checked
server side only. so if the data provided fails, i want the same target
window as the parameter form and if it passes i want a new window.
can anyone...
