Hi,
I am currently experiencing a wired issue. Every time I start my my dev
server machine to run my ASP.Net app, the IIS server is not functioning - I
get page can not be displayed error and I have to rerun the aspnet_regiis -i
to make it work. I also found that, when this happens, all the .html pages
are served fine, but all the .aspx pages, AND all .asp pages, are not served.
What is going on here?
Please help!

Examine the event viewer and see if any errors are being thrown into the log,
as this is not normal. Once you determine the true cause of the exception,
you will have a better shot of eradicating it.

installs the aspnet_client directory under a specified web site or even

I've got an application that starts whenever the machines starts but it
hangs on the splash screen until the underlying applications is ready to go
and then it starts to load.
Is there any way (in C# code) to stop this application from running until
Windows has finished loading?

Although it is not recommended to use the Start Parameters for a service, I
am wondering why i get an IndexOutOfRange error when i try to access the
args in the OnStart method. I place say, "Hello" in the field on the
services Start Parameters text box, and then write to the EventLog to make

Folks,
In using the aspnet_regiis –ga command I'm running into an issue. I'm using
this command against a domain account e.g. aspnet_regiis –ga MyDomain\ayott
and it works fine. If I perform the command against another domain account it
doesn't do anything but show all the options. I'm running XP SP2 but I'm got
a virtual machine with Win2003 loaded up and I get the same exact results.
Does anybody know why I can't use this command...

Hi;
How are we supposed to handle this. It appears that this must be run on a
system for an ASP.NET app to run. On WinXP we are finding that the user
ASPNET does not exist until this is run.
However, running this impacts all existing ASP.NET apps and sets the default
..NET for all new ones. So if we run this we can screw up all the ASP.NET apps
already on a system.
