I have a web server with both v1.0 and v1.1 of the .NET Framework installed.
I'm referencing this article (http://support.microsoft.com/?id=820106) to
"tell" my web server to run my web application using v1.1.

I am currently running IIS 5.0 on my Windows 2000 domain controller. When I try to copy the asp.net client side scripts to the aspnet_client subdirectory of each IIS site directory using the command "aspnet_regiis -i" I receive the following error

Hi,
I've been having problems with the validation controls not working on
my deployment server. Initially it was a security issue with the
anonymous account not having permissions to access
/aspnet_client/system_web/1_1_4322/WebUIValidation.js but I think I've
now fixed this.
What is happening now is I'm not getting a security issue but the

Instead of having a copy of the aspnet_client folder in each site's files on
a machine, can a virtual directory/application be made with each site's root
in IIS to the machine's c:\inetpub\wwwroot\aspnet_client folder? Would this
create security issues? If it is OK to do this, should it be a virtual
directory or virtual application?

Weird thing:
Got an aspx page with a button and an associated code in VB.net.
On my testing server the page works fine.
On the old hosters server the page worked fine too.
But now, at the new hoster it does not.
When I click on the submit button: nothing happens.
The only thing that works is form validation.

Don't ask my why we need to do this, I didn't write the website policy :( ,
but we are deploying to a website where we cannot place any directories
directly off web root (i.e. aspnet_client) and therefore we need to tell
all those lovely validation controls that their js files have moved. Is
there a setting somewhere that we can change to tell the system where
aspnet_client is? This is a urgent deployment issue.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
