Let Webserver Save Web Page

Hi Everyone,

Here is what I would like to do:
1. The user enters a url into a textbox on my webform.
2. The user then clicks ont the "Save This Page" button that is on the
webform.
3. The webserver goes to this specifice url and saves the web webpage
inside a folder on the web server.
I've played around with Screen Scrapes, but it doesn't quite work how I
would like it to. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Thanks,
CR Junk

I have a windows FTP server. I'd like to be able to upload a file via a web form and send a confirmation email. It seems to me that the FTP server will need some kind of webserver to do this, and some way of saving the file. My experience is on *nix, I would install Apache and saving the file is trivial.

I wrote a small app that's made up of 1 exe and 1 dll. They are just sample apps to demonstrate no-touch deploy with smart forms for my boss. I created the app and dll and copied them to a virtual dirctory on my webserver (XP Pro workstation with IIS). Here's the problem, I can't access the dll or exe. Even if I right click and hit save as. Attempting to save the dll gives me: Internet Explorer cannot download the GetData.dll from...

Hello, I have been trying to figure out how to make a VB.NET application program (not a web page) upload a file to a .NET website. File upload from a webpage form is straightforward and works fine, but when I try to use the WebClient.UploadFile method in an application program (to the same webpage), the file is transmitted but ignored by the web page. I suspect there are some additional form variables that are required, but there does...

Hi, I'm creating a webapplication where the end user must fill in a form, draw an image and post it back to the webserver. My problem is, that I can't figure out, if it's possible to have the end user draw an image and post it back. I don't mean the end user must upload it drawing, but he must click "Save" and then it must be psoted back to the webserver.

I have created a page that should unlock our local users throughout our network. The page is simple enough. It just takes users input for the IP Address and the User Name of the lockout computer. When they click the unlock button A series of If Else statements decides by the I.P. Address which site they are at. From this it calls an appropriate .bat file passing the IP and UserName. The series of .bat files and .vbe files are located...

Been banging my head on this all day, so here's the stoopid question: Do we *really need* the xml-rpc extension to create a xmlrpc webservice ? I'm getting the impression that we're supposed to generate the XML by hand. That's why PHP 5.1.2 has DOM methods as well as an xmlwriter class. And invoking the webserver "function/class" can be done by general PHP code as well, no need for *registering the method with the server* ?

Well, I'm not sure where to put this, but I figured people using ajax are more likely to run into these issues. I have been building my own webserver (don't ask, just trust me when I say I have to) from scratch. I have been using the RFCs to correctly generate response headers, particularly the status line: "HTTP/1.0 200 Ok "+crlf "HTTP/1.0 404 Not Found"+crlf Now when I use the XMLHttpRequest, it sees my "404" status code and "Not...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
