I have a form I want to submit to itself. I want to be able to type in a
list of numbers and submit the form and have that list show up on the same
form under the text box I typed them into and the buttons. The problem is
when I post a form to itself, the Enter key will not submit the form, it
only clears the contents of the text box. The only way I can submit is to
click the submit button. Here is a simplified version of my code that I...

Is there a way to prevent a form submitting when you press enter on a text
field? Some people press enter when they finish typing in a text field out
of habit I guess unconcsciously thinking it will take them to the next
field. Instead it submits the form and this causes all kinds of problems in
my case. Any javascript solution?

When the user type something in text box, and press enter, it will
submit the form data
to test2.jsp, even without pressing submit form button. This is not
what I want, I want to
submit the form only when the user press the submit button. Any
workarounds? Please advise.
thanks!!

Hi,
How do I disable the enter key for a "Form"? so that user has to click the
"Submit" button.
Is there a way of doing it other than using Java/VB script?
Thanks,

Hi,
I have a ASP.NET 1.1 page that in top corner has a login box & button. Then
a large form.
Users can fill out the form and press enter, but it actually submits the
login not the one I want. How can I ensure that the Enter submits the
second submit button on the page and not the first? How can I stop enter
submitting at all?

Hi,
For a web page, I want a SUBMIT button that commits the form data and a
CANCEL button that goes to a different target (i.e. a different script).
I haven't figured out how to do this, because the <FORM ACTION="... tag
seems to make sure that any two submit controls in a form have to go to the
same target.
BTW, the CANCEL button does not have to submit any form data.

Hi!
Here's my situation:
I have one textfield with one 'submit' button in PAGE1.PHP.
When I click on the 'submit' button I am sent to PAGE2.PHP where I have a "switch" routine that checks which 'submit' button was clicked and directs which instructions to do next.
My Problem is this:
On PAGE1.PHP, there is only one textfield. After filling in the textfield, most of the time people press the 'ENTER KEY' instead of clicking the submit...

I'm pretty new at php and web stuff so please be gentle with me.
I'm trying to get a form to submit when the user presses the Enter
key. I do not want to use javascript. I've googled this to death and
cant find the answer (only hints), except on the 'Experts Exhange'
page and you have to pay to get the answer :-(
Why is this such a secret in the open source world we live in?

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
