I have a https login page with C# code FormsAuthentica tion. After logging
in, my https pages recognize that I'm logged in. My http pages do not. It's
as if it's considering these pages under a different domain. Am I going to
have to make my entire site https? Any help/guidance is appreciated.

Sounds like you are hardcoding http in your site. If you use relative URLs,
it should not matter what protocol the user uses.

I was doing relative links, but as soon as I started using some https pages
the links broke. I had to start hardcoding the absolute links
"https://www.site.com/page1.aspx" and "http://www.site.com/page2.htm". It
was acting like if https was at the front it was a different site. i.e.
https//www.site.com is a different site than http://www.site.com...

are you using the secure attribute in the forms tag? if so auth cookie
will only be transmitted over https.

My current application requires me to use HTTPS and Cookieless
Sessions.
Ive just implemented HHTP Handler to redirect all http request to https
as described by Matt Sollars at

My problem is that the session expires after user logs in and clicks
one ro two links. I changed session timeout in web.config to 40
minutes. Still the problem persists.

I'm just starting to use cURL and having trouble accessing https pages.
All I want to do at this stage is get an https page and display it,
just to test the https get is working. However, I always get either a
CURLE_OPERATION_TIMEOUTED (28) or CURLE_COULDNT_CONNECT (7) error.

So I started with using winhttp to "dialogue" with web servers from a VB.Net app. It works fine as long as the server is a straightforward http server. I am able to retrieve pages from such a server and to send "answers" to the server to get the next page, and so on. No problems....
