To begin, yes, this -is- a homework assignment. However, it is for my
Algorithms class, and my instructor has given us explicit permission to use
"expert" groups like newsgroups, so if that's your only reason not to help,

I have a Control derived class. When the parent of the control changes the
control's Location property, the stack overflows. I have not found a way to
find out what was on the stack when it does overflow. All I know is that
the program is either stopped due to an exception at the end of Main or has
exited after the Stack Overflow exception. (Both cases are Debug builds
running in the debugger.)

I have spent the past few weeks designing a database for my company.
The problem is I have started running into what I believe are stack
overflow problems. There are two tab controls on the form (nested),
three list views, one tree control with up to 30,000 nodes, maybe 15
comboboxes (half of which have a large recordset as rowsource), 20 or
so buttons and around 30 text boxes (not to mention the images,
labels, etc and around 1000 lines...

My program causes StackOverflow because it makes many recursive calls due to
the program's nature (not a bug!).
I would like to know if there is any settings in the compiler or VS.NET IDE
so that I can increase the stack size to prevent the overflow error.

We have a stack overflow happening. We are NOT doing any recusion. We do have an object being created in Global that is being handed the Context (which I assume is specific to the request thread). This object does in turn does create several other objects, but therer is no memberwise cloning or deep copies. So, we are at a loss why we are running out of stack so early.
Is there a way to monitor the stack size at runtime to see if we can...

I have written a code, to generate a tree structure. The root node can
have "n" nodes attached to it, while each of these "n" nodes will have
6 child nodes.
The function is named generateNodes() and the value of "n" is passed to
it.

When using Internet Explorer, on networked PCs in a college, to view a

When I access the same file from my home PC no such message.

I'm trying to serialize some xaml elements using the XamlWriter and I'm
getting a stack overflow error because the elements have some public
properties which get called about a million ( a lot) times. As I step
through the code the only thing that executes is the getter in these
properties and I don't know what would be calling them. any ideas on how to
trouble shoot this?
