How to check user and password in selecting domain?

All,

I would like to develop intranet with ASP.Net as creating web form for
authentication user before. Now I have text box for input "User Name",
"Password" and drop down list for selecting "Domain".
If I want to check that "User Name" and "Password" could have in "Domain" or
not, how to?????

P.S. : I don't have Active Directory, just Domain Control.

You could probably use the WinAPI LogonUser. This article talks about using
it. http://www.codeproject.com/aspnet/AS...ginControl.asp

I am trying to write a script that will access files on another computer on the network but in a seperate domain. In order to access the files, I need to first authenticate to the other domain as a different user. When I access files on another domain via explorer, it prompts for a username/password. Is there some way I can pass this same information through scripting to access a computer in the other domain? I attempted to do this...

Using latest SP Win2k and .NET versions, I have a .NET application running on server1 with a SQL Server database running on server2. I have the Windows user account passwords sync'd for server1\aspnet (installed by .NET Framework and server2\aspnet (created by me--this machine has no .NET Framework on it). The aspnet user on the database server (server2) has access to the database. I still get: Login failed for user '(null)'. Reason:...

Hello. I apologize if this isn't the appropriate group for this question but I was wondering if it's possible to allow regular windows domain users to change their passwords through an .asp page? I'm trying to figure out the best way to handle domain users to log into an .asp application tied with SQL Server 2000 on the back end since I keep reading that windows authentication is better practice to log into SQL Server. Thanks in...

I am trying to figure out how to pass set of credentials to System.IO Challenge is: App is running under one set of credentials, but via GUI user have a chance to enter another set. I would like to be able to use supplied credentials with System.IO versus using default credentials that app is running under. So far I am forced to use WMI which is less convenient and slower then System.IO, but it's providing me with "Connection Options"

Hi all, how can I check a user/password in a LDAP ? I don't want to connect with this user, I would like to connect to LDAP with a ADMIN_LOG/ADMIN_PWD, then do a query to find the user and check the password. The thing is I can't access the password attribute to compare with the user's password provided.

I'm writing a little program that will run when a user logs in, checks their password expiration and also installs a piece of monitoring software if necessary. The program has to run on Vista so I got my first experience writing for UAC. I've worked though the signed manifest and all the other little quirky stuff I have to do to get my app to run as Administrator (System.DirectoryServices said it required admin rights) and everything is...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
