Will ASP.Net Applications run on IBM AS/400 Server?
Best Regards,
Luqman 3 1447
The short answer is no. .NET from microsoft is intended to run on an IIS
server only.
That said, take a look at the MONO project which is porting .NET to other
platforms (however I don't believe they've ported it to an AS/400 at least
not yet, but does the AS/400 run unix? Then it would). http://www.mono-project.com/Main_Page

AS/400 is running OS/400.
If we install APACHE Web Server or IBM Websphere Web Server on AS/400, then
would ASP.Net run or not ?

How do we define systems programs? when we say systems programming,
does it necessary mean that the programs we write need to interact
with hardware directly? For example, OS, compiler, kernel, drivers,
network protocols, etc...? Couple years ago, yes, I understand this is
definitely true. However, as the software applications become more and
more complicated, some people try to argue that. Some people argue the
definition of systems...

The company I work for used to create web applications using an ASP
user interface, VB6 COM+ middle-tier with a SQL2K back-end. They have
recently moved on to .NET with ASP.NET user interfaces and a C# COM+
middle-tier. The .NET applications are being installed on the same
servers as the old applications and they are also using some of the
same VB6 COM+ objects (via Interop).
The problems we are having are as follows:

Hi,
We migrated some of web applications to a new server. When the server
was installed, the regional setting was EN-CA, later on we found culture
display was not same as from original server (which was EN-US), we reset
server's culture to EN-US.
Now we have 2 web applications still behaviouring as EN-CA setting. It
recoginizes string "03/01/2003" as Januray 3rd 2003, not March 1st 2003.
I checked code, nothing is wrong. I check regional...

The Joy of Interoperability
Sometimes a revolution in programming forces you to abandon all that's
come before. To take an extreme example, suppose you have been writing
Visual Basic applications for years now. If you're like many
developers, you will have built up a substantial inventory of code in
that time. And if you've been following...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
