Hi!,
I don't think I have posted to this group before. Have been using PHP
on my webserver for a few months now and finding that I like it quite
a bit.
Here is a question that just occurred to me. I recently created a BBS
(Bulletin Board Service) on my website where I allow people to post
messages via a form. It just occurred to me that conceivably they
could embed php code in their message trying to 'hack' my site. So I

I have some XML data that has mixed content XML tags that embed XHTML
tags, for instance:
<note>Somebody wrote this note in XHTML and wanto to <a
href="link.html" target="_new">link</a> to a particular tag, and was
also pretty sure that they wanted the following
<ul><li>two</li><li>items</li></ul> to appear as a list. To make
matters worse <sarcastic>how could this be worse?</sarcastic>, the
XHTML can be mixed with our own tags.</note>

I'm reading xml from SQL Server 2K with VB.net using an XSD schema file
and SQLXML 3.0. I have the below code working fine, but I'd like to change
the code from reading the schema file from a directory to reading the
schema as an embedded resource. Here's my current code, what would I need
to change??
Dim strm As Stream
Dim strmReader As StreamReader
Dim cmd As New SqlXmlCommand("MyConnectionString")
Dim xmlDoc As New XmlDocument

Hi,
please clarify this doubt about XPathNodeIterator..the following XSLT uses this..
my doubt is, by looking at the XSLT, i thought the output to be Book1..but the actual output is Book1Book2Book3Book4..
as I understand, func method is called only once and XPathNodeIterator.MoveNext() is called only once..and how is this concatenated output??
tia,
avnrao.

Hi,
I am writing an ASP.NET web applications which uses an xml file to display
html content on the web pages. My problem is that using the Value property
of the current object of the XPathNodeIterator cuts out the embedded html
tags.
How can I, using an XPathNodeIterator, output the entire contents of a node
even if it has child nodes?

It is true that there is no way to get the outerXml of
XPathNodeIterator.Current? Please say it isn't so.

Hi,
I'm trying to compare two XML documents and i'm using XPath queries to
select nodes. XPathNavigator's Select method runs fast enough and
returns an XPathNodeIterator object. When i try to access this
iterator's Count property the process extremely slows down. If i just
iterate throgh 18.000 nodes and call XPathNavigator.Select to find
equivalent node from the other document it doesn't even take 1 second.
But in the same loop, when i...

Hi,
I'm a complete PHP n00b slowly finding my way around
I'm using the following function that I found on php.net to strip
out html and return only the text. It works well except for when
you find styles embedded within the tags
eg: <h3 id="pageName">Have a great day!! </h3>
This throws an error, whereas
<h3 >Thank you for your purchase! </h3works like a charm.
It also falls over when crappy code has <h3> </h3between
the tags.

I'm trying to iterate through a set of nodes and then edit/delete
specific attributes using XPathNodeIterator. Adding attributes is no
problem.
My first question is how do I delete an attribute using an
XPathNodeIterator? Or should I be using something else?
In the sample that follows:
1. Grab all "Page" nodes.
2. Loop through all the nodes.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
