Browser-side Rich Text Editor

Hi all,

I am looking for a browser side WYSIWIG HTML editor for our ASP.NET
based content management system (CMS). For the past few months, I've
had a Firefox RTE solution in place, and it worked marginally well,
although we've encountered enough issues to make us look elsewhere.
The HTML code it generated was, oft times, a complete mess.

Is there an industry-standard solution that delivers clean HTML code?

Also, we want to use our own image "portfolio" management and upload.
And our own hyperlink pop-up as well (we have a catalog of internal
pages -- the website is relatively "self-aware").

Has anyone had any luck in this area, yet?

Regards!

There are a variety of free rich textboxes available for ASP.NET.
Which one is best is for you to decide.
Here'a list for you to begin your research:

Real nice resource page.

I've only had a chance to do a surface level check, but out of the
options listed, FCK Editor appears to have what we are looking for.
You don't have to use their image listing / browsing / insertion
tool... one can incorporate one's own. Awesome.

Thanks!

If you're not restricted to the freebies, Cute Editor is extremely well
done and simple to use.

I've used their support forum, email and live chat to communicate with
support, and they always have an answer. (We have been using CuteEditor
in production since July. 2003).

This is the link:

JS noob. I've seen plenty of browser detection scripts but they all seem to be slightly different and don't really fit my needs. I have various places where if the browser is IE I'd like to display else . For example, if a browser is IE I want to use this CSS file otherwise use a different one and if it's IE make this cell x pixels high else make it y pixels high. I'm sure this is easy, please excuse my stupidity. Steve.

So I'm half way through overseeing a large project in ASP.NET 2.0. My superiors have decided that it would be nice if we ensured the site worked on all the major platforms (as they see it: IE, FireFox, and Safari). We've made heavy usage of the new MENU control and other intrinsic 2.0 controls.... nothing fancy! just using ASP.NET's built-in controls and very nice, pervasive, and clean usage of CSS. Now I find after more testing that the...
