How to apply a numeric format to a textbox using xhtml? I know you have to
use the "-wap-input-format" style tag in css. I can get this to work in a
regular xhtml page, however, I've been unsuccessful in getting it to work in
asp.net 1.1
The following code has allowCustomAttributes set and works fine for labels,
but not for textboxes. This is because it is building span tags around the
control. I need to embed the class tag inside the...

Hi there,
I've just started to dig into mobile ASP.NET and I'd really wish to
clarify few things. I have the experience with ASP.NET.
1) Some tutorials mention something called Microsoft Mobile Internet Toolkit
to be installed over .NET Framework 1.0. Is this Toolkit required when using
..NET Framework 1.1? At this moment my research indicate that MMIT is an
integral part of .NET 1.1 and DOES NOT to be installed. Can anyone confirm...

I have a small application used for mobile applications (mobile device, not
a mobile OS). I have a GPRS cellular connection to the internet, which is
about the speed of dialup. I'm using xmldocument.load to load an xml
document from the web. The problem is the connection over the cellular
network. When i use this connection on my laptop, i notice that it isn't
very fast, but its very usable. when i load a webpage, it loads fast...

I have a mobile web application running on a server at work. There is a
strange thing happening though:
1) I can access and login to my mobile web app from any internet browser.
(good thing).
2) I can access and login to my mobile web app from any Palm Treo web
browser. (good thing).
3) When I use a regular mobile phone (samsung/motorola...etc) and load up my
website on the browser, it takes me to the login page. Now, when I enter my...

Hi,
I'm currently in the process of constructing a stripped down version of the company website that will be show to people logging in from a mobile device. When the user logs in to the homepage, he or she is directed to the homepage default.aspx, where they can login. As part of the Page_Load of this page, I added a check if the Request.Browser.IsMobileDevice, and in that case redirected to the custom mobile login page:...

Hi,
I'm currently working on creating a stripped down part of a company web page, that will be accessed from cellphone. The problem I have is that the Windows Forms authentication makes it difficult for me to create more than one login page. In my web.config file I have it set so that unauthenticated users will be directed to the default.aspx page which handles logging in. As part of the default.aspx Page_Load I transfer users to a...

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could tell me how exactly a website knows if you are visiting from your computer (ie/firefox) or from your cell phone browser???
For example, if I go to http://mobile.google.com in firefox, it is a different webpage than if I use my mobile browser.
I just need to know how it works, or how I can access the mobile version of a webpage on my PC?
Any info will help!

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
