I'm looking for leads on a webpage component that would let me build a navigation bar type vertical
menu where a mouseover event of a menu item would cause a submenu to appear below the item. The
kicker is I'd like it to push the other menu items "down the page".
I've seen this on a number of sites, but I can't seem to figure out what it's called (at least, I
haven't stumbled across the right words for google/deja searches yet).
Can...

Hi there to all.
I am a .NET Crystal newbie and I hope that you don’t pick me up much :) with
the following questions:
1) It’s possible to access the report model to alter the rendered data. I’m
talked about a process like .NET data grid, where we can iterate thru the
rows and change data.
2) I have a report with a linked sub report. The data targets the same data

Dear NG,
I have done all I can do with Crystal Reports (CR) using the "pull" mode. I
now need to generate data in my application, load a DataSet with that data,
and "push" this on to a CR report. In the code listed below, you find a
demo DataSet, called MyDataSet, taken from the Bischof book. It runs from a
button created in Visual Studio (VS) in a project called Test3. So far it
works.
The next step is to create a .rpt file in...

Hi,
I am looking for a technique where you from the serverside push/update a
standard web browser with small piceces of data. An exempel could be sports
result or stock exchange information.
I do not want to use Java Applets, ActiveX controls or force the clients to
download .NET Assemblies (and install the .NET Runtime...)
If at all possible I do not want to use some sort of Javascript loop where a

Hi all,
I'm using the PUSH method with Crystal Reports where I'm sending CR a
Dataset. The dataset for one of my reports is > 200,000 rows. What is the
best way to reduce memory usage?
Related to the above question... is the PUSH method designed for such large
reports?

Hi,
I need a way to "push" a web page to a viewer (or viewers) on my web site.
What I'm trying to do is conduct an online presentation, so I need to
control what the viewers see and when they see it.
Is there a way to do this with ASP?
Regards,
Demitrius

Hello,
I'm having an extremely weird problem with Crystal Reports and .NET
2005.
The process:
I have created a report launching aspx page that allows a user to
select one of 8 reports, fill out the specific parameter(s) to that
report, and launch another page that has a reportsource and
reportviewer control. This all works fine for 1 person, and works fine

Thanks for any help. I'm not new to Crystal Reports and use them
routinely in vb.net for desktop applications, but I don't know where
to start for using them in my asp.net apps. I currently have an .aspx
page with a datagrid populated by two compliled DLL's which make the
fields available to the datagrid with this code below. Should I have
a
popup screen that contains the ReportViewer from the toolbox? How can
I in my crystal report set...

I am trying to populate a Crystal Report from data in my DataGrid. The
reason for this is that I want the user to be able to change values
without updating the database, but still have their report reflect the
values they anticipate committing to see hypothetical totals of
columns from a set of records. These records are displaying properly
on my DataGrid but I'm not sure how to get Crystal Reports 10 to use
as its datasource the dataset...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.

Adolph will...
