Regular expression to remove javascript from a page

Hi,

I am working on a function to email my entire web page.

I have so far achieved this, however I am having problems removing all
script from the HTML of the page.

I wish to remove script because mail clients like outlook ect give messages
about not being able to display it properly.

so I am guessed so far that i need to use regular expression to remove all
javascript expression such as <script> blocks and inline code with html
attributes.

can anybody point me in the right direction to starting to achieve this, or
better still point me to any script that achieves this at present.

thanks in advance.

martin.

In order to check availability, I want to visit many different pages from a database and try and match the regular expressions 'out of stock' or 'unavailable' or 'sold out' etc. If found, the product will be flagged as unavailable. I tried using fopen() and preg_match() but the problem is, if the reg. expression is present in javascript or in comments, the item gets wrongly flagged. Is there a way of taking what appears on the users...

I am writing a javascript that will make an http request, sort through the html for any links on the page, and then store them for future processing. To test things, I pasted html source code into my text editor, ran a GREP search using the following regular expression: (<a *href\s*=\s*")(+)("*>) And the appropriate links were highlighted correctly. I then

I have a regular expression (^(.+)(?=\s*).*\1 ) that results in matches. I would like to get what the actual regular expression is. In other words, when I apply ^(.+)(?=\s*).*\1 to " HEART (CONDUCTION DEFECT) 37.33/2 HEART (CONDUCTION DEFECT) WITH CATHETER 37.34/2 " the expression is "HEART (CONDUCTION DEFECT)". How do I gain access to the expression (not the matches) at runtime? Thanks, Mike

I'm having a problem with a regular expression in conjunction with the regular expression validator. I am trying to make sure that when a user browses for a file to upload, it ends in gif, jpeg or jpg. I have the following expression which validates fine in a .net tester I use and also a javascript tester. But when I use the following path on the page, it gives me the error message that I haven't entered a valid image. ...

I have a dynamic list of regular expressions, the expressions don't change very often but they can change. And I have a single string that I want to match the regular expressions against and find the first regular expression that matches the string. I've gor the regular expressions ordered so that the highest priority is first (if two or more regular expressions match the string I want the first one returned) The code that does this has...

Hi, I have a search engine on our website which searches through each page of the website using regular expressions with ASP 3.0. First, I read in all the contents of the page and remove all html tags with the following pattern: <*> However, this won't work if I have a line like this: <input type="text" name="search" maxlength="50" size="36" value="<%=Request.QueryString("search") %>" /> It finds the < before input and finds the > right...

I'm having trouble getting the regular expression validator to work with a text box. In this simple example I only want lower case letters to be allowed. So I tried the following and it doesn't work, would somebody be so kind as to tell me why. <asp:TextBox ID="TextBox1" runat="server"></asp:TextBox> <asp:RequiredFieldValidator ID="RequiredFieldValidator1"

Hello guys, I'm trying to learn about regular expressions. I need to be able to use an RE that can evaluate for STRINGS (or specific sequences of characters), not just occurances of characters. Everything I have read thus far involves checking only for the presence or absence of characters. Can anyone provide an RE that will correctly evaluate a string to see if it contains other strings, specifically these (omit the quotes)..."<script>",...

Hello guys, I am primarily an asp.net programmer, but lately I've been doing some work with Apache, MySQL and PHP. Anyways, I have a question that I posted in the microsoft asp.net newsgroup. Thus far no one there has been able to answer it. I feel some of you may know the answer, and that's why I'm posting it here... I have a web app with two textboxes. The first textbox allows users to type in various text, html tags and CSS. The...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
