I have a popup window (required by the client) containing a form and would
like to prevent users from accessing it directly. They are instead required
to access the page via a hyperlink on another page. HTTP_REFERER, while not
completely reliable, would serve the purpose except for another problem. The
hyperlink points to a JavaScript function which opens the popup. This yields

Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if there was a way to pass a variable to a popup window. The
purpose is make it so when a user clicks on a specific region/link of the
glossary page, a popup opens with the related description. This is done and
is obviously not a concern. However, now I would like to make it so the
corresponding row becomes highlighted (changes background colour via DOM).
I imagine it can be done, but I'm at a loss for...

Apparently, I'm missing the concept. I'm writing a web app in perl
to manage nagios configuration files. One of the things I'd like to
do is to confirm an update via a popup window prior to writing out
changes.

I have the following problem.
To fill a textbox in one page, I call a popup window with the choices. And
when I click OK in this popup window, I need its data to go directly to the
text box in the page that called the Popup.
So far I call the popup with a

Hi - this was posted last weekend and unfortunately not resolved. The
solutions that were posted almost worked but after another 5 days of
working on the code everynight, I am not further ahead.
