Are you stuck maintaining VB.Net code when you prefer to work in C#? Our C-Sharpener For VB tool is a Visual Studio Add-in that converts VB.Net projects to C# projects. It translates the code and other project related files. We are looking for a limited number of Beta Testers to help test our new tool. If you are interested, please go to http://www.elegancetech.com/CSVB_Download.aspx?src=9

My company is looking for several beta testers for a new VS .NET add-in product. It adds FrontPage-compatible features to VS like shared borders (layout), controls (navigation, substitution, hitcount, search, form submission, etc.), hyperlink management, and a GUI navigation editor tool window. You can create an "enhanced" ASP.NET web site from a template, or one based on an existing FrontPage web. A built-in converter can create ASP.NET...

Hi All, I am using ASP .Net Beta 2 to develop web applications. In one of my web applications, i am using 'CreateUser' wizard to create users for my site. Earlier, when i was using Beta 1, i have stored all the user information in MS Access Database.

Anyone have any suggestions as to how I might initiate a beta test/review of a soon-to-be-completed product? What I'm imagining are fellow .net developers who would be willing to take some time trying out the product in exchange for a freebie. I'm not looking for debugging per se. Mostly I need feedback as to the viability of the product idea. I am reluctant to employ an internet download or shareware

I just installed the VS2005 Beta 2 bits, and I'm having a variety of issues with the Web Site Admin tool. If I create a test web service, I can't add users because: -- There is a problem with your selected data store. This can be caused by an invalid server name or credentials, or by insufficient permission. It can also be caused by the role manager feature not being enabled. My PC was a completely screwed up mess. Nieither the unistall tool or the manual uninstall at http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/support/uninstall/default.aspx worked. I also tried the VS 2005 beta cleanup tool at http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archive/2005/04/25/411974.aspx. This tool was designed to remove Beta 1 in preparation for Beta 2. I needed to remove Beta 1 in preparation for VS2005 Pro, not exactly the same thing. ...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
