VS.NET 2003 Debugger Help

How so I set up the debugger in VS.NET 2003. I try to run my web page app
and it tells me the debugger is not properly installed. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Chris

Chris:

I would suggest search the MS KB on the error you are receiving. I had a
similar issue recently and was able to find KB articles.

If that does work, I would try posting the exact error message you are
receiving.

The C++.NET debugger version 2003 has a VERY SERIOUS flaw. I have attempted to rebuild this same application almost a dozen times to get around this bug. I will be forced to scrap the .NET stuff soon and go back to VC6 or Borland... Basically, without warning, the debugger loses track of where source code is for virtual functions. My attempts to clean the build and delete the ncb file have had NO EFFECT. I am using windows forms to...

Hi all, I used to have Visual Studio.net (version 2002) on my PC and it was working just fine, then I installed Word 2003 and after that I could no longer debug applications in VS.net I always got the following error message: "Error whle trying to run project: Unable to start debugging. The debugger is not properly installed. Run setup to install or repair the debugger." Next I tried to install VS.net v2003 (had to upgrade anyway) but...

Hello, It seems VS.NET 2003 locks up itself and the complete shell (mouse locks also) when entering a breakpoint in a special situation. Below is the code to reproduce this behavior. It contains a line where you have to set a breakpoint (the first line in the validation event handler). Compile and run in the debugger in vs.net using F5. When you hit 'enter' in the textbox, the debugger should break in the validator routine where you...

I am having yet another issue with Windows Server 2003. This time, the web service (a file import web service) appears to run except for one odd message: "ActiveX component can't create object". There are no other statements to indicate what object cannot be created. Otherwise, everything on the test Windows Server 2003 works fine—all import data updates correctly. Unfortunately, my normal development environment is not Windows...

Hi, I am experiencing a strange problem. I am reading and writing xml files via XmlDocument and XmlTextWriter. In the debugger everything works fine but outside the debugger (debug or release) I receive the following error: "The type initializer for "System.Xml.Schema.Validator" threw an exception." I wrote a small console app that contains the problem -- I've just attached the default class which gets run. Output outside the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
