file uploads problems

I comment a new problem that we have, or that today we realized, and that is
driving crazy to us.

The subject is with file uploads. And I suppose that it has to do with
automatic updates of Windows updates, because in the only automatic machine
that does not do updates, it is in the only one that run fine.

The problem is thus: if instead of looking for a file we tried to write a
text, begins to give us a Javascript error, until we erase it, does not
execute no button nor nothing until that field is cleaned.

If I erase it, he returns everything to normality, and the Javascript error
desapears.

That happens in almost all the machines, except in one, without updates.

If somebody it happened, how solved it?

Thanks

The input file element has some security issues.
That is to prevent malicious javascript code to fill the file path, and
submit.
Sahron.

Anyone know of any problems with this??? Using it to upload image files to a server. Most of the files work fine but occasionally one causes error with fopen() on server. Seems the 'filename/path' param is incorrect. It is actually trying to open the file using the directory path I uploaded 'from' and not 'to'. (Note: Using PHP on Novell server to open the file.) Thanks,

I have created an IHttpHandler that waits for uploads as attachments for a webmail interface, and saves it to a directory that is defined in config.xml. My question is the following: assuming that this is suppossed to end up as a component for others to use, and therefore I do NOT have access to their global.cs::Session_End() how do I cleanup files that were uploaded -- but obviously left stranded when the users aborted/gave up writting...

I seem to have a lot of complaints from users about file upload problems to my site (developed in ASP.NET). The issue is not related to setting the maxRequestLength or any security issues. Most of the complaints come from Mac users. I don't know if it's just that they have slow upload speed (the files being uploaded are in the 5-10MB range). Once I did find that one person was using AOL (for the PC) and had their web accelerator on and...

Hi, I'm using PHP 4.4.4 on Apache 2 on Fedora Core 5. PHP was installed using Apache's apxs and the php library was installed to /usr/local/php. However, when I set my "error_reporting" setting to be "E_ALL", notices are still not getting reported. The perms on my file are 664, with owner root and group root. The php.ini file is located at /usr/local/lib/php/php.ini. Any ideas why the setting does not seem to be having an effect? ...

Hello, I am trying to do a FTP file upload which works fine on my localhost but on my ISP server it fails. I can't seem to find where I can go to find the specific cause of the failure. In both cases the file is being transmitted to the same FTP server and using the same PHP script so it shouldn't be a file size or login credentials problem. Could someone please help me out and give me some ideas what is wrong. I would really...

i want to do (multiple) file upload(s) and display a progress bar. with firefox and safari it is no problem at all. only IE makes some problems. my script is based on ajax-uploader, which can be found at www.srmiles.com/freestuff/ajax_file_uploader/ . you can do multiple file uploads. each upload will have it's own "form"-tag, so that each file is uploaded for its own. could be a good solution if there are "big" uploads.

Note: You may skip to the end of the article if all you want is the perl code. Introduction Many websites have a form or a link you can use to download a file. You click a form button or click on a link and after a moment or two a file download dialog box pops-up in your web browser and prompts you for some instructions, such as “open” or “save“. I’m going to show you how to do that using a perl script. What You Need Any recent...

The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
