I have heard that projects developed in VB5 may work well in Win 98 or 2000
but sometimes have problems in NT. Is this so and how can this be avoided?
TIA

Has anyone else had this or a similar problem and is there a workaround?
This piece of code:
from time import gmtime, strftime
_log = _log + "\\" + strftime("%m%d%y", gmtime()) + ".log"
produces a file with the name 'today's date.log' on NT, but creates a file
called 'tomorrow's date.log' on Windows 98. I would really like to know
why...

Hello,
I am looking for a language to achieve lists of all NT users and groups of a
given NT domain on a Windows 2000 Server. It has to run within a webscript,
so vbscript with windows scripting host is considered first. But before I
dive into this, isn't it possible to do it with win32all?
An ideal result would be something like the...

HELP - Need to connect to DB2 database on AIX from NT server. Also
AS/400 from NT Server
-- I am experienced in ORACLE and a novice at DB2. What tools would
be the equivalent of Net*8 or SQLNET in ORACLE that would allow me to
connect to a database on a remote box (either AIX or AS/400)? I have
read that DB2 Connect appears to be the...

Does this "NT-based machine (NT, 2K, XP)" mean a WindowsXP machine is a
NT-based machine?
What does NT stand for and what does it mean?
What is CDONTS?
What does this mean - "The machine must be running the SMTP service "?
Thanks,

I'm try to Unload DB2 data from a table into a record sequential file
on NT. I can an unload on Mainframe, but it doesn't seem to be an
option in NT.
In NT, all I can do is export/import. I can do a Load too, but not an
Unload. I just want the only the data from the table in a record
sequential file. Export seems only to give options to...

Question about security best practice.
Several best practices articles recommend removing Builtin/
administrator from the sysadmin group. One side affect is that
several third party utilities will try to log in as "nt authority
\system". E.g. fulltext will attempt nt authority\system -- however
fulltext can be configured to use a domain...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...
