NT Bug , I dunno a moment of your time please.

I have what I beleive to be a strange bug which I cannot resolve and I think
it could be NT related.

All I ask is a moment of your time to reply to this posting after viewing.

I have created a method of using arc to draw a performance dial, the URL
below will show you the results.
http://www.websamba.com/macroman/home.htm

I have pasted the images in so you can see the before and after.

The left image is exactly how it is displayed on my PC , yet on some PC's at
work it looks awful (right image)

I cannot for the life of me think what is causing this.

The Explorer is V6, and both have VML installed, I checked the Windows
registry and the keys realting to VML were identical.

What I can say that on my works PC this Monday it looked like image on the
left, until Tuesday my workstation decided to re-install MS Word.
We are using MS Office 2000 at work and are running under Windows NT. I
don't know if you know anything about networked PC's I know next to nothing.
I have logged into Workstation #1 (mine) and the dial looks terrible now,
log onto Workstation #2 and the dial looks good, so I am almost convinced
that something on my workstation at work has changed and it is not my
profile settings but more to do with workstation configuration, I have
acquired
the assistance of other internet users, using various other O/S and none so
far (15 in total)
have not reported any anomolies with the dial. What I lack is NT user
assistance.

So if you can spare a minute or 2 to have a quick look at the URL above and
see if the dial looks ok on your Win NT O/S, the more feedback I can get
back the better.

Any other ideas you can think of that may be causing this problem would be
very welcome

thank you for your time

I am the best c++ programmer in the whole wide world. Trust ME! My reference is Victor Bazarov,Valentin Samko,Alf P.Steinbach( Me and Alf actually intern together at Microsoft), and Bjarne Stroustrup (he actually asked me for help to design C++ ; still unsure why he didn't give me enought credit - probably a poor design choice to have Russian name near c++),Branimir Maksimovic,Vladimir Kouznetsov . Me and Victor went to the same...

Hi, I have the following question: I have an app that uses user login/logout to identify users When user logon, I register logon time in a session variable When user logoff using the logout link, I also register logoff time and update accordingly the logging history table. However user can simply close the browser without logoff, so his session was closed.

I hope there are some team leaders/managers (or insightful grunts) out there that can give this post a little time, as this topic is a heavy weight on me. I owned a software company for about 6 years. I sold it about 5 years ago, did almost nothing for about 2 years, and have been employed as the sole developer in a .COM for the past two years by a former client of my software company. I manage the web site, web services, and Windows...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
